another dimension to the wii console!
Review of Nintendo Wii Balance Board by milesy19912007

Advantages: adds many extra hours of wii play and is great fun at party's
Disadvantages: may be issues over maximum load and durability as it works off pressure sensors

...not an issue. I found it totally brilliant and faultless as well as extending the excitement of the console as a great addition. The games are all really fun and brings some healthy competition as well as laughs to a party. The only real issue over the wii balance board for wii owners is whether they are prepared to fork out the £50 or so for the privelege of standing on plastic looking scales and wiggling around to play a game. As i say it is not for some people but it does take some energy and some of the games can become quite high impact although more fragile people would certainly enjoy some relaxing yoga to keep fit and healthy each morning. The board ios essentially a faultless piece of technology that adds another dimension to the wii and gaming as a whole. The only reason you shouldn't get one of these is if you are a couch potato or if you... Read review

The Classic is back
Review of Mario Kart Wii (Wii) by smivs953

Advantages: Online play, wheel is good fun, ITS MARIO KART!
Disadvantages: need internet to make the most out of the game

...or the baby vehicle They all have different strengths from speed to offroad etc. The Wii Wheel: The wheel is a basic piece of plastic with a button on it, this button pushes the B button on the wii mote and just makes it easier to reach. Getting hold of the wheels so far has been a nightmare but there are plenty of third party wheels around. Controlling: The only other thing that i have to say about mario kart is that you can control it using the wii wheel, wiimote alone, wiimote + nunchuk or even the gamcube controller. This therefore doesnt make the most of th wii's design but who cares, ITS MARIO KART! besides the gamecube controller is the easiest in my opinion but the wheel is more fun. In conclusion it is a very good game but you will need an internet connection to get the most out of it otherwise it is just like all the old mario karts.... Read review

Once picked up. it is hard to put down
Review of Nintendo Wii Remote by sit2020

Advantages: New way to play games
Disadvantages: Battery life

...the Wii remote communicates with the Nintendo Wii. What about the batteries? Well the Wii remote takes 2 AA batteries. Nintendo have said you will get up to 60hrs of use from one set of batteries. I have found that depending on the type of batteries, this can be seriously reduced. In one case I got less than 2hrs from a battery change (ok they were cheap batteries that I had bought from a pound shop). Do not skimp on cheaper batteries, you want to be looking at alkaline batteries as a minimum. Although Nintendo do not recommend using rechargeable batteries, I personally think that using rechargeable makes sense; they work and also work out cheaper than buying an endless supply of disposable batteries. Recently we bought a third party recharger designed specifically for the Nintendo Wii remote, this has made life easier as we do not have... Read review
