Great to be back on board

Advantages: Looks, Sounds great, low centre of Gravity, Headturner, pretty cheap to buy and run
Disadvantages: Small fuel capacity, lots of Chrome cleaner needed, Not very quick (but that suits me)

I have recently acquired a 1989 Virago 535, yes 20 yeras old and its fab, it needs a bit of work on the paint which is going to be carried out during the winter months. Review of Yamaha Virago 535

XJ 900 Diversion 1995

Advantages: Genuine all round bike, fun to ride, easy to live with, cheap to run, reliable, good tourer
Disadvantages: Might be a little boring for some of you? Very tall seat.

Review of Yamaha XJ600S Diversion

Yamaha XJ900 Diversion

Advantages: Very reliable workhorse, Good looking, Nice ride.
Disadvantages: Can suffer from the usual rust demise.

...and it`s had a new Yamaha battery for £35 again from the dealer. I`ve had the bike for 5 years now so I really can`t complain. I love the bike and don`t intend getting rid of it just yet, however, things are beginning to show their age, the centre stand has rotted and so I don`t use that in case it collapses and the paintwork on the swingarm/shaft cover needs to be removed and resprayed, (I don`t fancy removing that because of the special tools required) ...

Classic all-rounder

Advantages: Fast, reliable, easy handling
Disadvantages: Weaker lights than later Foxeye version. Design flaw with sprocket nut.
