In awe for years until I bought a Harley

Disadvantages: no wind protection

...can be said about the Harley name apart from "brub brub"? I watched the films and read the blurb and even watched the rallies go by and had to have one. Call me a "born again", a "fair weather biker" even a "BOG" (boring old git to my daughter) but I cannot conjure the enthusiasm to raise a snail, in favour of the new Harley. It had to go back. Yes it was a head turner, particularly at the seaside, but no, it was not comfy, it was not good on long ...
...the now aging Triumph. It handled like an elephant (yes I have ridden one) and proffered no defence against the British elements. The controls were not easy to find and it used a lot of juice. Was it Easy Rider that moved the imagination and the wide expanse of the USA? Moreover the climate? Maybe, but think again and test ride again before you take the plunge and buy. From a tried and tested Triumph and BSA enthusiast - take care! ...
