SHOCKING - BEWARE - without a receipt u r presumed to be a thief!
Advantages: Good selections of items, nice catalogue Disadvantages: SERVICE, assumption that you are a thief, inflexible policies, money grabbing
Shocking - having been a relatively frequent shopper at the local Stckton store since the birth of our baby, when I went to return a duplicated item bought as a present i was informed that as I did not have receipt the store could not be certain that the items I was attempting to return had been "purchased" and therefore | could not return them...even though i explained that i was actually not wanting a refund merely to be able to buy MORE things ... ...adamant that without proof of purchase (I could it said ask the gift giver for a copy of their bank statement to prove purchase if they'd lost the receipt!!) they could not accept that the goods had been PURCHASED and therefore could not refund or exchange!!
I think this is outrageous - th eimplication of this poliocy appears to be that if you do not have a receipt - even if the item is a gift then you must have STOLEN the items- shocking!
Having ...

That's Asda Price!
Advantages: Price, Quality, Durabilty.... Disadvantages: Not enough Asda stores in my opinion!
...about the lovely people at George at Asda. Prior to having my daughter, as a young carefree girl who went out most weekends, Asda was a godsend. Fashionable clothes at rock bottom prices - it sounds like an ad slogan but its true. And here's the thing, unlike clothes purchased in New Look, which cost slightly more, but feel cheap and fall apart, my George stuff is holding up very well. I especially am a fan of the summer wide sleeve vests which range ... ...is this rapid, but somehow George manages to deliver fashion, bright colours and unbelievably cute clothing for little ones all at teeny prices. Having invested in way too much stuff for my little one before she was born, I had spent £70 on just three baby sleeping bags in Mothercare in the first size. Asda stock these sleeping bags for £10 each which is a heck of a difference. They also have had in some lovely branded stuff for the summer which ...

Tesco Toys; Shameless Ploy to Add to Our Bill?
Advantages: Unbeatable Prices, Bright Colours, Strong Designs Disadvantages: Limited Ranges in Each Age Group, Quickly Adds Up
Tesco make and stock various different toys and games aimed at everyone from newborns to families. There are some holes in their ranges still (for example older children and teenagers) but they appear to be in the process of extending their ranges to fill in this gap by including such products as craft kits (eg Crystal Growing, Paper FX and Make a Teddy) and electronic gadgets (eg Data Max and Pixel Chix Mall). Tesco seem determined to gain monopoly ... ...far as I'm concerned. Tesco have cleverly employed the "97p technique" in a thinly-veiled attempt to make us believe their prices are cheaper than elsewhere. After all, everywhere else charges us the full 99p do they not? Pricing items at 99p instead of the nearest pound is popularly regarded as one of the most shrewd marketing ploys of all time so it doesn't surprise me that Tesco have chosen to price most of their toys at something pounds 47p or ...
