Toyota Celica 1.8

Wow! What can I say about this car to praise it highly enough. I bought it second hand in late 2005. Unfortunately at the first MOT I needed to replace the sports suspension which because my car was an import did cost nearly £750 in total BUT apart from that I have had no problems whatsoever. I have chosen not to modify it apart from an induction kit on the engine to give a little extra bhp and a very nice throaty sound when you accelerate away from the lights!
The body work for a car of its age is immaculate. No rust whatsoever above or below the car. Petrol consumption is also very, very good for this type of car. I find £45 fills the tank from nearly empty and goes for between 400 and 450 miles before re-fill needed.
The acceleration from standing start is very good and I'd estimate a 0-60 time of around 9-10 seconds. I have also had it up to 125mph on the motorway many times with ease and no excess vibration was felt at all.
The interior is superb although people that have sat in the back have complained that it is a little cramped. I was also pleasantly surprised that it has loads of space in the boot. Can easily fit 2 sets of golf clubs and a few trolleys in there, no problem.
Toyota engines do have a very good reputation of lasting for years and years. I regularly check the oil level and have hardly needed to top it up at all since I bought it nearly a year ago.
Overall I can't really find any major faults with this car. If looked after and regularly serviced this car will go on and on for years.I plan on keeping it for many years to come.
