When I bought this car i genuinely thought that it would be the buy of the century but i was wrong apart the water pump seizing there where many proplems to arise from the roadster. The main of the problems i had where all pointing to a poor service life so i cant hold that against the car but also there where a few design flaws that i will exsplain later.

I paid £1200 for a H reg which is 1991, i belive a decent one would be worth this sort of money but when i got 5 miles away from home she began to overheat, i checked all of the obvious faults and none seemed to fix it, after a while i narowed it down to the water pump. so really i cant fault toyota or even the seller for this.
value for money satisfactory.

The road handling is very poor at the best of times i put this down to the mid engine layout, with no weight over the front wheels the car undeersteers and then will suddenly flick the back end out. so i will rate the handling poor. however if you like the car a better suspension set up may fix this for you.

The MR2 is a very comfortable car with a low seating position, and no passengers in the back to worry about, it is a good comfy 2 seater car.

The fuel consumption was ok for a 2 litre sporty car i could have got 30-35 mpg at a push.

The MR2 is a very good looking car I love the low 2 seater look and the frog eye lamps are very cool. 5*

Overall i would say the MR2 can be a good car but i would only recomend it to an enthusiast, it can be a hard car to deal with and maybe not the beat daily driver.
Top summer car though!
