I have 6 children all of school age, so when looking around for a people carrier my choices were limited as most only carry 5/6 passengers.
luckily enough the Previa can carry 7 passengers.
As well as the children I have need of a vehicle which can serve different purposes, such carrying junk to the tip, moving large objects etc.
This car is first and foremost a real Multi Purpose Vehicle, it will seat 7 passengers + driver in ... ...bench seat & 3 passengers on the rear bench seats), this also leaves quite a bit of room for any luggage as well.
The loadspace inside the car when its not full of people is also very good, the rear bench seats fold up to the side to give more room than the average estate car, and if this space isnt enough the middle bench seats will fold flat.

This car is first and foremost a real Multi Purpose Vehicle, it will seat 7 passengers + driver in real comfort (driver+passenger in front, 3 passengers on the middle bench seat & 3 passengers on the rear bench seats), this also leaves quite a bit of room for any luggage as well. The loadspace inside the car when its not full of people is also very good, the rear bench seats fold up to the side to give more room than the average estate car, and if this space isnt enough the middle bench seats will fold flat. My wife is only qualified to drive automatics, so this really was the only vehicle for us, as the passenger/load capacity is ideal, and the 2.4GS comes with an automatic gearbox. Driving the car is a dream, at 70MPH you can hold a normal level conservation with all passengers, and the two front seats are the "Captain" type seats with armrests. The suspension is excellent, it asorbs most road bumps and conditions with ease, and makes light work of speed bumps. Having had this car for 3 months I can only find two minor things I dislike. 1: The access for the passengers is Via a sliding side door, which means I have to make sure that side of the car is always kerbside when i park. 2: The engine is mounted under the floor, and to access it, you have to remove the front passenger seat. Apart from that I can whole heartedly reccomend this as the ideal vehicle the for the larger than average family. It comes with a 2.4 Petrol engine which gives me about 28MPH, however the passenger capacity far outweifghs the fuel economy aspect.
