Toyota Prius Hybrid 1.5 VVT-i

The Toyota Prius is a truely remarkable car, if you can call it that.
This car from the first moment i stepped into it, is completely unique. Very roomy for a start. The cabin is well designed and has well positioned pockets for anything to may need to store. The ride that it provides from the start is fasinating. So smooth and quite. I am a guy who is very considerate of his passengers so when i see my passengers not jolting forwards through the gear changes i'm pleased. You can't actually feel them.

The automatic gear box is very smooth and when driving on the internal batteries from idle, the car has a bit of a punch you wouldn't expect. For a 1.5l engine the car has surprizing power. This car is very easy to drive. The gear stick is very user friendly, basically its just forwards and backwards, the car does the rest. I didn't even need the handbreak, when ever the engine is off it switches to park and doesn't roll.

I like a car to be able to move and this one does, when you put your foot it does go!

You sit quite high in the drivers seat and have a clear view of the road. One point i found a bit distracting was the display, which during the night when driving reflected of the windscreen in the centre. Another disappointing feature was the lack of heated mirrors, of course this is not a train smash but in winter, cause of the shape and postion of the mirrors they freeze more than any other car i've had. I also had some horrible experiences with the traction control, it decided to go do it own thing and you have no control of the vehicle at these point which is very frightning. I wish it could be turned off, but there is no button.

Basically i think this is a fantastic Car, all round perfect, strange but refreshing styling and supremely comfortable and SO quiet!!
