Advantages Motivates individuals in an entertaining way.
Disadvantages Not always happy endings as the children have no family.
Tracy beaker returns is a winning British television program based on famous Jacqueline Wilson novels on a variety of differential characters in a care home named ''the dumping ground''. One of these characters being the famous Dani Harmer who is transformed from the previous series of a young, loud, disruptive and tantrum throwing young 12-13 year old, to an independent, beautiful and loving young lady. Harmer unbelievably ends up working in the dumping ground, where she was taught life’s norms and values and thus, shockingly becomes a respectful and very well mannered young lady over time, also teaching the new care children life’s norms and values. This is beneficial to the children in the dumping ground as they have a carer who has experienced practically the same lives as them and therefore has the ability to gain a psychological interiority with the children in care, allowing this TV drama to become increasingly entertaining due to the variety of differential heart touching stories it contains every time. However, in order for the TV drama ''Tracy Beaker returns'' to be perceived in an understandable way, the previous series is ought to be watched. ''The story of Tracy Beaker'' which was aimed at young children from the age of 5-15, contrasting with the comeback of the new Tracy Beaker, which is aimed at age ranges also from about 5-15, yet, can also be enjoyed by older age ranges such as ages from about 16 onwards, as i must admit, i still enjoy watching this phenomenal TV program and have its 13 part series in my DVD drawers till this day!
Moving on to the description of ‘’Tracy Beaker returns’’ characters, lets begin with Dani Harmer or Tracy beaker herself. Tracy beaker is a young child whose mother has suddenly walked out on and is now therefore fostered by a women named ‘’Cam’’. As Tracy had experienced care herself, she tends to believe that she relates to the children within the care home more than her colleagues and therefore emphasises the family bonds contained within the ‘’dumping ground’’ giving the drama an entertaining and highly interesting edge.
The characters playing the children in the dumping ground include young males named Liam, Frank, Toby, Harry, Gus, and Taylor which all come from a variety of differential backgrounds and class positions, aswell as have differential entertaining attitudes, for example, Liam to begin with is a confident leader of the team who has a strong and fierce personality, however, is obvious to the audience that he cares about all individuals within the care home like a family of his own, yet does not show this. This is due to the want of maintaining his masculine side, whereas, Frank on the other hand, a friend of Liam’s is a ‘’special needs or disabled’’ young boy who is very loving, honest and caring, yet is only a follower of Liam rather than a leader. However both boys aswell as the remaining boys who come from different age ranges, beginning from about 3 onwards, contribute equally in making the TV drama highly interesting, funny and dramatic, which would be further discussed within this review.
Moving on to the remaining girl characters within the TV drama, we have, Elektra, Sapphire, Carmen, lilly and Tee. All of these children also come from different age groups and backgrounds, and also contribute in making the TV Drama highly fascinating, for example, Sapphire to begin with is the rude rebel of the team and seems to dislike the other kids within the care home, however, is a confident young 14 year old who is not afraid of a fight, additionally she seems to care about a young boy named Harry within the drama quite alot as he looks up to her like an older sister, thus, sticks up for him whenever needed, however, characters like Carmen on the other hand, is the lively and interesting young girl who gets along with everyone. She likes fairies, magic, pink, Clothes and jewellery. She is Lily's best friend which allows us to identify Elektra's jealousy towards their friendship, creating episodes that relate to real life situations and helping young individuals cope with these situations, thus, i must say that this drama is quite educational for young children aswell as teenagers.
Not forgetting the lovely carers within the drama, Mike, Gina, Tracy and the irritating social worker ''elaine the pain'' . The carers are the adult individuals who work within the care home ''the dumping ground'' and look out for the children as if they are children of their own. Teaching them right from wrong, good from bad, and trying their best to help them get fostered. The children in the care home look up to the carers as if they are family and each episode includes its own encouraging morales, involving each character and their great ways.
Now, you may be curious in regards to the title i have chosen for this review which is ''You can make your world come true'' thus, i would like to explain this. Every time one of ''the story of tracy beaker'' episodes would start, a memoriseable theme tune will be sang by keisha white. The theme tune goes as follows.
''I can make my world come true, all my dreams will see me through, and because life won't get me down, my dreams will turn things all around, with a smile upon my face, I can see a better place, doesen't matter what may come my way oh no no, believe me now, i will win some day'' this therefore emphasises the morale of the tracy beaker stories, especially the return as within the new ''Tracy beaker returns'' stories, we have the ability to identify that the theme tune which was once based on just dreams, now juxtaposes with facts that Tracy Beaker has achieved this dream and awaits for the others to achieve the dream as she is aware aswell as the audience being aware that every dream is achievable. This therefore, allows not only the characters within the drama to be affected but also allows the audience to be affected as it acts as a motivator to individuals as a whole to make their dreams come true, i have therefore chosen the title of ''You can make your world come true''

Purchase and watching information: The purchase of this product is available in a variety of differential places with the full 13 part series being available on DVD from Wilkinsons, Ebay, and Amazon. As the DVD distribution was relatively recent, on the 12th of March 2011, they should still be available. I personally purchased it for cheaper on Ebay and advice you to also do so. However, a few episodes are also available free on the world's famous website ''Www.bbciplayer.co.uk'' with a search box available allowing you to type in ''Tracy beaker returns'' and showing you not only the new series but also the old series of ''The story of Tracy Beaker''. Additionally, each episode is about half an hour and the 13 part series is therefore over 6 hours being available for a shocking £3.99
Further character information: The characters within the new series do not include many of the old characters, yet, Tracy afcourse, and Mike both remain within the new series. However Gina is a new carer that acts within the new series.
To conclude, this would be a great purchase for your child or even for you personally as it acts as a motivator to all individuals in a variety of differential ways, for example, in one episode, the children themselves have all acted as motivator's towards their carer Gina and had persuaded her to overcome her fears, whereas, within alternative episodes, the carers act as motivators to the young children in regards to allowing them to overcome their fears, allowing this TV drama to be equally suitable for all age ranges. However, like everything else, this drama also includes its disadvantages, for example, in some and many occasions, the ending of the stories do not tend to be happy endings and in some circumstances also act as a demotivater. Additionally, there have been many episodes, where I end up in tears as it does tend to get you very emotional, however, in most, these tears will transform into huge smiles giving you the feelings of mixed emotions.
