Smackdown vs Raw 2008 is the best wrestling game to date with much improved graphics, sound and gameplay. Over the years the smackdown series have failed to live up to the hype and expectations of wwe fans like myself.
But this years edition is much more improved with the addition of ecw, 24/7 mode and hall of fame mode. But thats not all the biggest improvement of all is the fighting styles. Each wrestler has their own abilities. The abilities can be a showman, dirty, high-flying, hardcore, powerhouse, technical, submission or brawler. For example John Cena is a power house so his moves will cause more damage and Ric Flair is a dirty superstar, he will cheat to win. This makes the gameplay more fun and enjoyable and more tactical.

This is just an evolution, not a revolution
I played this game in the Gaming Centre nearby my house for two hours, the PS3 version of the game. I must admit that the game is enjoyable and all WWE fans would love this game. But Normal Gamers and Non-WWE fans won't really like to play this game for more than 2 matches i suppose because this game is exactly as is predecessor Smackdown VS Raw 2008.

This game mainly has certain changes from 2008 version of this game as this game mainly concentrates on The Road To Wrestlemania.

I bought this for my son the other day. Well sort of true, I wanted it as much as he did.
First thing I noticed was they have changed the controls from the previous versions. It uses a new "Analogue control system". It's not easy in the beginning but after a while you pick it up. There is an option at the beginning showing you all the new way to use the "Analogue control system".
The moves are made by the sticks, the left is for moving the wrestler and the right is for grappling etc.
A small tip if you're not happy with the new system if you go to the options for changing your setup and go to controller and choose "type d" it goes back to the old buttons as in WWE 2006 :).
