Advantages: Speed camera alerts bonus features such as mp3 and photos and low price tag. Disadvantages: None that ive discovered so far.
...I recieved my nav-cam 6200 for christmas 2006 and i really cant imagine being without it now. It is so helpful and makes life much easier, gone are the days of having to fight with a tatty road map that you arent even sure is the right ways up, pick up one of these babys and youll never look back.
BASIC FEATURES
Its main feature is of course satellite navigation which includes speed camera alerts, this is an excellent feature which can of course be very handy if you are driving on roads which you arent used to. This feature could also be really benificial for those who havent got a clean license as it also shows common locations in which speed traps are frequently set up, there is obviously no guarantee that there will be a speedtrap set up in the locations that it alerts you to every time you pass one of them but i have found...

Advantages: Excellent when teamed with a map, nice appearance, fast route-changer Disadvantages: Cost, lack of documentation, slightly buggy
...was incredibly annoying and whilst we could use the device for some of the way by inputting area names and then street names, we had to resort to the traditional map reading and as i was in the passenger seat, my boyfriend found this to be the most annoying of all! (I am terrible at reading maps). The maximum number of postcode digits you can input is 4.
Another downside to the product is that despite it being quite new on the market, some of the maps on the screen are not up to date- this doesn't cause any really problem but at £200 you'd expect more research to be done. For example a field was shown on the map where a housing estate was built, and a couple of roundabouts were not indicated. Yet whilst improvising may seem annoying in a new area, the sat-nav has a very fast recalculation time in order to locate where you are and how to get...

Advantages: Great menu and bright clear screen, Outlook Sync, Battery life Disadvantages: Prices in the shops, but look for it on ebay you might get a bargain
...Got this sat nav as an early Christmas present for myself because so many people have said good things about it. I must say it's exceeded all my expectations. It is not your average sat nav system as it's a very high-tech device but very easy to use. Unlike the gentleman in the other review I found it to be very easy to install the speed cameras, you just have to click one button!! The beauty of this system is that the speed camera database is updateable monthly free of charge, this is not the case with many other sat navs. The system came with a double CD-ROM containing all the maps of Western Europe and also with its own destinator software, and the most exciting thing of all, Microsoft Outlook Activesync which is an invaluable piece of software. Now you don't have to look for addresses of your friends or contacts or ask them every...

I must admit, I am pretty chuffed with this device but i would much prefer a pda with tomtom, and a seperate laser detector from blackspot.
anyway, it looks the part when in the car, a super clear touch screen, great colour, with accurate speed camera more
