Advantages: small and versatile Disadvantages: no tripod connection without docking cradle
...Does anyone know whether the Cybershot dscT3 can be used with a Sony 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo HighSpeed or whether the 512Mbcard is the largest that cxan be used for this camera. Also, what is the best way to reduce red eye problems for night time flash photography? Do you know if any retailers sell a carrying case for this excelllent little camera?
I found this camera very easy to use but the memory card supplied was pathetically small so I've ordered a 1GB pro duo highspeed stick but don't know whether it will fit in my camera.
Some sites say that this camera is compatible with a 1GB pro duo memory card while others say that its maximum capacity is a 512Mb pro duo memory card.
Can anyone help who has actually tried this T3 with a 1GB card?
Thanks...

Advantages: Could handle additional enhancement of the photos Disadvantages: Quite little expensive than the normal XD photo cards
...where built-in slots are installed for such memory stick or picture card type. Unfortunately, I can not directly use the card to the memory slots in my Sony notebook for easy transfer without the use of USB drive and camera dock. Well, this is not a big issue.
LASTLY, this card also fits with my new imaging requirement which I could enhance the pictures using the panoramic and 3-dimentional (3D) features thru the Olympus Master companion software. However, for a 512MB picture card memory, it is highly recommended to have extra batteries as back-up especially when you are traveling in remote areas where power source is limited for charging and re-formatting. For normal shooting mode (not using the close-up and flash), the battery can take up to 150-200 photos, which means for a 512 picture card, I have to use the battery 2-3 times. Summary...

Advantages: Wide range of uses in camera memory, pda memory and nav systems. Disadvantages: Not a lot of info on the various differences !
..., but if you are using the card in a PDA, like I am, then speed of transfer of information is important.
Once your camera goes beyond 4 megapixels, speed starts to be an issue too, by the way.!
The card I have is marked MLC and is a cheaper form of storage cell, which is the slowest.
You can also get standard speeds, hi-speed, and now, ultra-highspeed.
Standard speed is around 3 mb per sec transfer rate, highspeed is around 9 mb per sec, and the ultra races along at 20 mb per sec.
* Mechanics :
These sd cards are solid state, and have no moving parts, so tend to be very reliable. Integral gives a 5 year warranty.
* Capacity :
If you are storing photos on your canera, then this 256 mbcard will store about 80 taken at 6 megapixels and nearly 300 at the 2 megapixel level.
On my Ipaq it stores hundreds of PowerPoing presentations, plus...
