I am very impressed!
After recently upgrading from my Canon 350D to 450D I needed a high capacity, fast memory card as the 450 takes SD (secure digital) not CF (compact flash) as the 350 does.
As a professional photographer it's vital that I have the best kit I can afford. I was a little worried about buying Transcend over Sandisk, but with such a huge financial saving I thought I'd give Transcend a go. I'm very glad I did!
The Transcend 8Gb SDHC (secure digital high capacity) memory card performs excellently - trandfer speeds are very very good. It's rated at 'speed 6', the same as the most expensive Sandisk Ultra cards selling for over twice the price.
One thing to mention - SDHC cards cannot be read by all memory card readers - generall only the newer ones will read SD cards over 2Gb.
I would highly recommend this card ...
Advantages: Heaps of features, stabilised 6x zoom, reliable, Canon lens, excellent results Disadvantages: Slow flash recharge, noise at high ISO, demands a little learning
[Note: I did include paragraph spacing... but Ciao seems to be swallowing it!]
The A710, as I like to call it to prove I'm on intimate terms with the thing (er, no, not in that way!), is a very, very nice camera. Despite having been overtaken in the last couple of years in the dreaded megapixel ratings - though 7.1 is more than enough for most people with a good lens such as Canon include here - it can still produce some superb results. However, it does demand a little bit of respect, and is perhaps not the ideal camera for someone looking for an out-and-out automatic point-and-shooter.
As usual with A-series cameras, the A710 isn't going to win any awards for style, though the dark grey colour scheme is nicer than the silver many of its contemporaries offer. It's a chunky little thing that sits in my grip nicely, but may feel a bit ...
Advantages: Excellent Quality Photos - Easy Controls -Excellent Price - Wi Fi - Good Looking. Disadvantages: Poor print in draft mode ( easily overcome) - paper drawer seems a bit flimsy.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX710W Multifunctional Printer is, according to Epson themselves, a so-called refresh model of the earlier PX700w model.
To begin with,i want to point out the following :-
While searching for the Epson PX700W (price at Epson £149.99) i found that it was being discontinued at most outlets and replaced by the PX710W refresh model,(priced at £199.95 at Epson)
On comparing the Technical Specifications between each of the models i could not spot any difference to justify a £50 difference in the 2 models,so i contacted Epson to ask what the difference was between the models, they replied that the PX710W was a refresh model with a slightly faster print speed.WRONG,WRONG,WRONG !!!. There was absolutely no difference at all between the 2 models in any of the Technical Specifications.
I contacted Epson again to point this ...
Transcend's first digital photo frame - PF710 combines a stylish design with a brilliant high-resolution 7-inch TFT flat-panel display. The PF710 can showcase all of your favorite photos with background music, is highly configurable, has 1GB of internal memory, and is appropriate for display in your living room, bedroom or office - just about anywhere you would normally put a picture frame or clock.
