The Travelsupermarket.com site uses the same "deep linking" web search technology as Insuresupermarket.com. (see my comments on their Home and Car insurance search facility.)
It asks the basic questions about destination and dates etc, and then links to appropriate flights web sites to find the "cheapest" flights available.
The advantage is it can look at many sites for you. :)
The disadvantages are it can be very slow in bringing back sensible results, has only a restricted list of destinations, and my pet hate is the popups...!!!! :(
Had no success as yet with UK domestic internal flights.
Also I found that you need to be careful that the flight seen in their search results is still available ..... flights are very quick to go and the best cheap flights can and do disappear within a very short time.
But in spite of all that I do actually use it...!!! ...!!!
