Advantages: Makes me want to put my walking boots on, authors sense of humour

If you are going to France, you will need this.

Advantages: This guide is detailed and easy to use. It contains information on everything and everywhere.
Disadvantages: Very few, and they are minor problems - no disasters.

Advantages: Could not have explored parts of France so successfully without it!
Disadvantages: Cannot fault it!

Advantages: Clear, logical structure based around districts
Disadvantages: No price information, weaker on hotel and restaurant advice than many more 'directive' guides
