Most definately - they have the all the basic ingredients, for example, Vitamin E and C, plus it has a name which is indeed used by a high number of salons, hence enhancing its reputation. And what you get is a large 900ml bottle probably on a special offer - you cannot really ask ... more

After many attempts at finding the right shampoo, (vidal Sasoon, H&S, Timotei, Johnsons etc,) we thought this a go. I often used to have dry flaky hair and often dandruff to boot. This was caused by the relative drying of my scalp. Head and Shoulders effect was short-lived, dandruff came back after a few months.
''Size of Bottle/price'' First thing that strikes you compared to many other products is the design of the bottle - its huge (900ml) for a £3.99 price - that is amazing value for money. Moreover, Asda and Tesco have at times been selling this product at 2 for £5 - so naturally I was tempted to see what was all fhe fuss about.
''First Purchase'' It was from Asda, about 2yrs ago, yes at the 2 for £5 price. I bought the moisture rich shampoo with vitamin E and a conditioner. Boy it lasted months!
''First use'' Both myself and my wife tried the shampoo. Immediately my hair was feeling much softer and less itchy. My wife also expressed similar sentiments - and she has long black hair, which after one wash, she felt it was really clean. Then applying the conditioner, my wife's hair was really professional looking - as if she really did step out of the salon. When I put my fingers through her hair, it was just really gentle and soft with complete separation of hair strands (she used to get alot of split-ends). For me, my shorter hair, the look and feel of running my hands through my hair and generally comfortable feel was pretty good.
''Continuous Usage'' As I said for myself and wife, the bottle of shampoo outlasted all of the brands before - and I assumed the effect would also disintegrate with time. But no, Tresseme moisture rich, held firm. I continually got the same results as I did the first. Yes, I must admit. the use of the shampoo on its own would not necessarily destroy all the effects of heat damage or dandruff, but when used with a conditioner, even these effects were limited unless of course you would wait a week to wash your hair!
''Salon Perfect ??'' From a man's shorter hair, yes, probably one of the best out their. From my wife's perspective, brilliant again. As for the value for money - nothing can beat it. Usually high quality shampoos are quite pricey and branded as such - Tresemme brand themselves on high salon quality and low affordable price.

''Recommendation???'' Most definitely, except I would give one piece of advice. Remember, the product has a range for a reason, for you to know your hair type and what it requires. For example, it is no good getting Tresemme Moisture Rich shampoo if your hair is greasy, and in other cases you may need a conditioner to alleviate other conditions. In these situations, it would be wrong to blame the product since the right label has not matched your hair type. Other than that, it is a brilliant product and range of products, worth trying by anyone.
P.S. Just to add, as someone mentioned, we of eastern origins tended to use oil to condition our hair, hence oil tends to have the same properties as conditioners, so conditioners are not always needed.

...adverts out there saying that Tresemme shampoo makes your hair feel 'salon professional' so I thought why not give this a try? I purchased the shampoo and conditioner, each costing at about £1 (at Wise Owl) which is good value for a huge bottle (at a whopping 900ml each) that would last for quite a while.
There is a downside to the bottle being so large! I can’t fit in on the glass shelf that we have in our shower which is where I normally put my ... ...a tad difficult because the Tresemme shampoo is sligthy thicker than most shampoos that I've come across.
The Tresemme shampoo is just a slightly thick, clear blue liquid and feels pretty normal for a shampoo. The scent isn’t too strong but nothing special either. The conditioner is opaque white, slightly thicker and the smell and look kind of reminds me of PVA glue.
My hair is naturally straight and shiny, plus I never normally get greasy hair ...

Advantages: Leaves hair smelling gorgeous, soft and very shiny Disadvantages: Larger bottles are very clumsey
Now before I used this product , my very long thick hair looked and felt like straw much to my dismay.
So I was after out a shampoo that would give my hair some much needed moisture, and the just stepped out of a salon look, sorry that's Loreal.
Having seen the adverts for this product that's used by the professionals off I went to pick up some, and it certainly didn't disappoint.
*The product*
Well this beauty is available in 500ml and 900ml ... ...with an easy to open tilt top. I opted for the later as it was currently on offer at that time in my local Wilkinson store, and I'm always looking for a bargain.
This shampoo is specifically for dry and damaged hair like mine, and used by the professionals as the logo on the bottle says, is what tempted me to buy this one.
Upon opening the bottle I got a lovely strong aroma of fruits which just avoids being too overpowering. The shampoo contains ...

Advantages: Great Shampoo, Attractive Design, Aids Styling, Good for Coloured Hair Disadvantages: Bottle could use some grip as bottle can be slippy when wet
...get through a bottle of Tresemme including its sister conditioner. Even then a few of my family have used it too and we're only just scraping the bottom now. To me, and I'm sure many of you thats a great quality to have in this kind of product.
The shampoo is a clear thick easily lathered shampoo. You dont need much shampoo to lather your hair into a clean and soft texture. It also gives you that 'clean' feeling, like you've just taken several steps ... ...was a few steps below tresemme but still great. It was great for me as I'd been so poor I'd been washing my hair with shower gel! It's really shown a difference
Their marketing is done exceedingly well. A salon is that one place where your hair can come out at its absolute best and they have taken this into account and incorporated that into their marketing by saying you can have 'Salon Beautiful Hair'. To tell you the truth, they're right.

Advantages: makes my hair really shiny Disadvantages: Heavy Bottle
When I saw the tresemme advert on the television , I thought 'ye ye as if this can make your hair look 'salon proffesional' , but I also felt tempted to try it. I chose the 'Tresseme Dry or Damaged hair ' 900ml bottle.Although I thought at £3.99 this was rather expensive , I soon realised what a great bargain this was after I'd used the bottle about 6 weeks later! It lasts a very long time! Although I suppose this depends on the amount of time you ... ...is a wide range of tresemme products for all types of hair , (greasy etc) , but this is the only one I've had experience with! (dry / damaged)
After constant use of my GHD'S my hair was left dry and damaged! ...a cheap product such as Tresemme would do the same job but I have found it works for me. I like the way the shampoo bottles are black and the conditioner ones white so when you are in the shower and got water in your eyes you can easily tell which bottle you need. No small print or same looking labels as other makes! I wash my hair every day and have found this shampoo doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy and greasy...which is quite a task for my ... ...the flip lid but the bottle could do with some grip as all too easy to drop when your hands are wet due to the large size. I decant mine into smaller bottles for travelling. Has a nice smell but nothing really to strong to talk about. My hair always looks shiny and healthy now. ...
