This is my 50th review so hope its better than my earlier work.

I have this washing machine installed in my flat. It comes with the property as it is rented so dont know the age of the machine.
It had no manual with it but it can be viewed and saved via the website www.manualshark.org.

It has 12 settings plus 2 at 90 degrees, which are as follows:-
Setting 1 Whites with prewash (heavy soil 60 degrees)

The programs are basically split into cotton or synthetics.
I only ever use one program and that is the 40 degree non fast coloured cycle. This then goes onto a 800rpm spin spincycle.
It does the job and my clothes always come out clean.

One nice feature of the machine is it has a half load setting which is useful if you only have one or two items to wash.
But ideally you should only use any washing machine once you have enough for a full load. Every little helps to reduce our energy useage.
Always wash at the lowest temperature you can ideally 30 degrees, unfortuantly this machine only goes down as low as 40 degrees. The modern detergents are capable of washing clothes well at these temperatures.
I have yet to test it with a heavily soiled load but im sure it would cope admirably.

The washing machine is 60cm wide, 85cm high and 55cm deep so easily fits below most kitchen worktops.

Its capacity varies depending on what materials the washing is made from.
For cotton and linen the machine can take 4.5kg or 10 lbs.
For synthetics and delicate fabrics it can hold 2.25kg or 5 lbs.
Wool reduces the capacity still further to 1kg or 2.2 lbs.

Once the machine is running the door locks and cant be reopened for a minute after the machine has finished the wash which is a great safety feature but can be annoying having to wait for the door to release.
