Triton have a very good name in shower circles, or should that be cubicles? and these models can be fitted slightly off the wall so it can be easily tiled after it has been fitted.

. . I have just had to go check which version mine is, there is no number, it is just called the Triton Aqua Sensation.

Mine is actually a power shower, although in "non power mode" it seems as good as any other make of shower. The thermostat seems to keep the temperature just right, you just "dial up" the temp you want, and the whole thing is easy to keep clean.
I have heard that showers can be noisy, but not in this case, the only place there is any real noise is in the shower itself, and you are only in there for a matter of minutes.
I got one because a very good friend of mine had bought it, but for some reason never got around to fitting it, then luckily for me, he moved house - to one containing a bathroom with a perfectly good power shower - I had to take it off his hands of course - BONUS!
The colour of the box on the wall is white, as was the handset - However, this is where I had the only problem I have ever had with it. One day, while enjoying a vigorating blast of hot water - the handset just exploded, a giant split appeared in the plastic, squirting a solid jet of very hot water onto the wall, luckily away from me. I assume the water was a little hotter than normal, and the plastic handset just "couldn'nae tak any more Cap'n". I soon replaced this and decided to go for a chrome version, more for the want of a change really. It is a standard fitting, so you don't need to order a special very expensive one from Triton. The shower is so powerful,it actually penetrates the shower curtain!
The actual flex, which is chrome covered by plastic, seems to be still up to the job after ten years, although I may replace soon, mainly because it has been stained red from hair dye - NO, Not mine!
The only other job I have done, was to replace the upstand that the handset fits to, this consists of two plastic fittings, with a length of chrome tube between them. The original seemed to be far too short for my liking, and seeing as I just happened to have a decent length of chrome pipe in the garage, it was a shame not to use it. The original one was less a foot long, but now is over twice the length, which is a little more user friendly, and it looks more professional somehow.
These are available from most good DIY stores. They are British too, made in the West Mids. You can also order direct, use their website - www.tritonshowers.co.uk, You can also use this site to order spares, installation guides etc.

I bought the Triton T80 Electric Shower about a month ago and i must admit i have been very impressed. My previous shower was had very small dials, a small head, got continuesly blocked and the shower head was too small. The Triton T80 Electric Shower is very easy to use and the dials are clear and good size. The head of the shower is also a good size and is very powerful. It is also very pleasing to the eye. Although a nice design it isnt too comtempary ...
