I am an electronics engineer in a shipyard. Married with three children. I like to ride my motorbike (a Triumph Tiger 955), walk the dog and read ( Terry Pratchet is a fave). Other interests include beer and wine!

The Tiger will get you noticed! (especially the green one) Sat at a height to see over the hedgerows/traffic you will be in a commanding, and comfy, position. Not for the short of leg, though. It is a bit top-heavy so a small lean can take the bike past its "point of no return". When you twist the throttle, the 955 triple responds eagerly, with plenty of torque on tap. Triumph do an aftermarket can to make the exhaust note a bit fruitier, but the performance isn't improved by much. On the move the Tiger is great fun as you swing round the bends. It can certainly hustle along. Put a pillion on the back and the fun isn't reduced, just shared. There is plenty of space for a pillion, but the rack can be awkward for gloved hands. All in all its a great bike. Often found with heated grips and recent models with centre stand and luggage too.
Try one - its madness not to!

Hey, welcome! Nice review, very passionate! One tip though, to make sure you get as much details in as possible, is to write this review as if it were for a person who is buying their first ever bike. Then you will make it as in-depth as us Ciao members, (and the non-member readers) need it to be. If you change this review, or have a question, let me know, bye for now!

good first review. something i've found from my first experience is that you need a lot of details inc facts and figures. Hope this helps
Advantages: All-round riding experience, comfort (I'm 6'1"), character, riding position, handling Disadvantages: Not the most reliable bike for all-year round use, costly to run
