*****THE CHANNEL*****
This channel is only available on Sky Digital, channel number 607 and runs seven days a week, programmes starting at 6.00am and finishing at midnight.
Trouble TV is more for teenagers than kids and has a wide range of shows including comedy and romance, music and celeb gossip – and sometimes when my Mum is working from home she takes a sneak when she thinks I am not paying attention.
The shows are shown in the same order, at the same time for a couple of weeks and then are changed over again so if you think that your favourite programme isn’t shown enough, then wait a few weeks and it should be on more often. It can be annoying though when they change, as you might not get to see what you wanted to.
*****THE SHOWS*****
There are a variety of shows, mostly filmed in America, on this channel. Most of them are for Trouble only but a few are shown on Channel 4.
Some of the shows on trouble are -
o MY WIFE AND KIDS This programme is really good it’s about a family who go through all the problems of a normal family including bullying, relationships and growing up. There have been to series so far and a third, which should be out soon.
The main characters are –
· Damon Wayan – Michael, who is the loopy dad. He teases the children and fights with his wife often.
· Tisha Campbell-Martin – Janet (Jay) the mother who is a high-flying stockbroker. She is the one that always worries and tries to lose weight.
· George O Gore – Junior the thick 16 year old son. He is always doing something stupid and gets low grades at school.
· Jazz Raycole - series 1, Jennifer Freeman - series 2 – Claire she is the tarty, 14 year old daughter. She’s always in the mall and wears tight tops, fancies all the boys and tries to get Junior into trouble.
· Parker McKenna Posey – Kady is the youngest of the family (not sure how old exactly). Even though she’s the youngest child she is the smartest and brightest and makes everyone laugh.
o THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR This is about a street-wise kid from Philadelphia who gets into a fight and has to move to California with his stuck up cousin Carlton and Horrible Uncle Phil.
The main character of the show is Will Smith as you probably already know – everyone likes him except his uncle and he gets all the ladies, his cousins are
· Ashley (Tatyama M Ali) is the youngest and she looks up to will and tries copy him by being cool. · Hilary (Karyn Parsons) is a snob and wants everything plus she is 26 and still living with her parents · Calton (Alfonso Ribeiro) he thinks he is smarter and cooler than Will and looks down at Will even though he is about a foot taller.
o TEEN CHOICE AWARDS It is filmed in L.A every summer and has some top stars singing and receiving or presenting an award including – · Britney · Freddie Prinze Jnr · Ben Affleck · Sarah Michelle Gellar · Jennifer Love Hewitt · Blink 182 · Nsync · J. LO · Shaggy
Some of the Awards are –
· Choice TV show · Choice Female Artist · Choice Male Artist Choice · Female Artist · Choice Male Artist · Choice Rock Group · Choice Female Hottie · Choice Male Hottie · Extraordinary Achievement Award
o ONE WORLD This is about a married couple that adopt six children with different ethnic backgrounds. This programme will make you laugh and cry. The six children are –
· Bryan Kirkwood as Ben. He is obsessed with his looks and girls
· Harvey Silver as Neal. He is usually the one that helps everyone out with their problems
· Brandon Baker as Cray. He is the youngest of the children and thinks he is hard done by because he is not aloud to date and he is not allowed to find his real family.
· Arroyn Lloyd as Jane. She is the roughest one and always gets into fights
· Michelle Krusiec as Sui. She is a fashion freak and loves soccer
· Alisa Reyes as Marci is always planning stuff and worried what people think of her because she is Cuban.
o CRUEL SUMMER (AND WINTER) I watched last years cruel summer and winter and was hooked and now its back again. 10 people (5girls, 5 boys) get sent into a big house with £1000 and every day they have a group and individual challenge if they lose or fail to do the challenge they will lose money. Also the public are allowed to suggest ideas for challenges.
At the end of each week one boy and one girl will leave the house until there are 2 left then people have to vote for the person they want to win and the winner gets £10,000 plus the money they had left from the £1000.
It sounds easy but the tasks they have to do are gruesome, Eg sucking the water of (fake) body hair from the shower (but they don’t now its fake), holding a snake or spider, filling your bather with baked beans and having to run across a field or eating, drinking or having something really disgusting thrown at you. Plus the foods they have at mealtimes are sickening.
Some more of my favourite shows are Saved by the bell, Hang Time, Malibu CA but have many series with different characters and are too hard to write about.
*****MUSIC SHOWS*****
o Music mania – this is where they catch celebrities behind the scenes and onstage
o Making the band – this is presented by Lou Pearlman. It goes through the auditions etc that made the band O-town, plus the bands rehearsals and backstage gossip.
o Music diaries – this has the diaries of the bands and singers Backstreet Boys, Aaliyah, P. Diddy, Destiny's Child and loads more.
o Steps: the story – This is just about the performances of steps etc.
*****OTHER PROGRAMMES*****
o Search for a Supermodel – Well the title says it all. They do searches for new super models and show some of the best super models around today.
o Cheats – This programme tells you about all the best cheats on play station, Nintendo and game boy games. Plus if you want to now haw to do something write an email to them and they will help you.
They also do programmes like bay watch, Different Strokes, Dawson’s Creek and the Monkees.
Sorry I couldn’t write about more of the shows but there are over 30 different programmes on this channel and some are to complicated to write about.
*****TROUBLE WEBSITE*****
The website is called www.trouble.co.uk and is great. It has - o The main page – this has loads of links onto different parts of the site and tells you to ‘click here’ to find out all the latest gossip. There are also competitions you can enter and a daily vote – each day there is a different question and mostly you have to click on Yes or No
All the programmes and what they are about
o Chat rooms – I don’t go on this, plus you have to be 16 or older and is only available at certain times.
o The Clinic – This is where you can write you problem and trained people give you help and advice, there are also help-line numbers.
o Games – There are two games but I have never played them as you must have shockwaves
o Trouble Music – This has reviews on songs, interviews, videos for songs and all different types of music including pop, RnB, Garage and Hardcore
o Make your own website – I haven’t used this but it looks cool. Site maker gives you all the information and help you need to make your own site.
o Shopping – This gives you all the best sites for shopping online.
o Ringtones and logos – You can listen and download your favourite songs and logos onto your mobile (always look at the cost first as they are pretty expensive and don’t turn out as good as they sound on the site)
On value for money - I've put good cos I like it, but my parents pay
Advantages: It comes free with the Sky Digital package. Disadvantages: It's worthless: terrible programming, endless repeats, trashy TV.
Trouble encapsulates everything that is perceived to be wrong with satellite television – cheap, unfulfilling entertainment that no-one is interested in, repeated far too often. Trouble really does plumb the depths of modern entertainment, scraping the barrel almost to the very bottom, only really superior to the so-bad-it’s-hilarious Men & Motors. The vast majority of programmes on Trouble are situation comedies, visibly created on a ... ...smile, nothing. The meagre variety of programmes on Trouble are repeated with nauseating frequency, which is never a particularly endearing quality for any station whether the shows are good or bad. I can find nothing to recommend in this channel at all – the advertisements provide more entertainment. ...

Advantages: good programs Disadvantages: some repeats
I personally think that Trouble is an excellent channel! It shows quite a wide variety of shows, drama, romance, comedy, music etc and also focuses on other aspects of a teenagers life such as programs about parties, such as Room Ravers, their own version of Changing Rooms in the form of Room Raiders and also the program dedicated to computer games, Cheats!
The programs shown on trouble are quite Americanised as most of them are from the other side ... ...I think that Trouble does actually have an excellent range of programs to suit all teenagers. It also has an advantage over other kids channels as it runs from very early in the morning until midnight, allowing people to watch it for even longer.
Trouble does tend to show some repeats of programs but they seem to actually be obtaining a lot more new series' of programs a lot more often now. Overall I would say that this channel is a good one for ...

Advantages: great plot and characters, location Disadvantages: a bit too angsty
. He goes out with Joey eventually. Bless. He gets in trouble a lot.
Jack and Andie are siblings who appear in Season 2. Their father is quite wealthy. Jack turns out to be gay and becomes best friends with Jen, he?s very sweet and caring. And Andie has a few mental health difficulties which she overcomes. She?s also very sweet and a bit of a control freak. She goes to live in Italy at the end of Season 4.
Audrey appears in Season 5 when the gang go off to college. She is Joey?s roommate. The gang soon grow to love her. She?s rich and mad and outgoing but really nice.
The show deals with typical teen issues: love triangles, raging hormones, angst, death (lots of death) school and friendships. Joey hates Jen at first because Dawson fancies Jen but they grow to be really good friends. They all hang out together and it's all quite ...
Advantages: well-thought out advert Disadvantages: kelloggs are stingy
or May that they last ate cornflakes.
And what reward did I get for this? A financial incentive? A CD voucher, maybe? Even a couple of packets of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes? No, I got a pad of paper. Cheers, Kelloggs.
When the finished advert appeared on TV a few months later, I would say "Oh, there's MY advert" whenever it came on, which (for some reason) annoyed everyone I know. I do quite like the advert, it definitely fits in with the tradition of older Crunchy Nut adverts where people ate two bowls instead of one. "The trouble is they taste too good" is an effective slogan and the excuses in the advert ("I ran over the goldfish") are quite amusing.
I haven't bought Crunchy Nut Cornflakes since, so I guess in that way it hasn't worked. But it was interesting to get caught up in the high-powered world of TV advertising ...
