I couldn't put this book down from the moment I started reading it. I was completely hooked - something which doesn't happen very often to me when reading, I am very difficult to please.
My husband read the book after me - he was blown away, he lent it to his mother - she loved it. I lent it to my friend - and have never seen it since!!
Fast-paced, exciting, moving and sometimes wryly humourous. The best entertainment I have had for a couple of quid in ages!
The only real criticism I have is more concerning the author than the book itself. I really loved the book, and on that basis bought a couple of other Klavans. Unfortunately, they fell way short of a good read. I won't be buying any others - rather framing this one, if my friend returns it ...
