Advantages: Easy setup, simple controls Disadvantages: Very low output volume on 5.1 setup, completely unbalanced audio
...The speaker look very nice but looks mean very little on a speaker system.
The system is relatively easy to setup with the usual 3 jack plugs used on most PC analogue 5.1 surround sound systems. You have the usual routing of the five speaker cables to take care of which plug into the rear of the control unit. The rear speakers have plenty of cable length to use when positioning the where desired. There is also a large, unique lead that connects the sub to the control unit which is also easily attached. The system comes with a rather bulky power supply that could have been neatly tucked away in the sub box, therefore only requiring a figure 8 power cable to do the powering up side of things but this is, after all, a budget system.
The Controls on the front of the control unit are very basic and easy to get your head around...

Advantages: Easy to use, loud, very cheap, high quality. Disadvantages: Bass booster crackles at high volumes
...The TrustSoundforce 2.1 speaker set are and extremely good set of speakers that can not only be used for PC use but for as a speaker set for a Hi - Fi etc.
Advantages:
Powerful bass booster which can be adjusted quickly and easily to suit what you want, this small speaker set is also extremely loud for its size and price. Very cheap at £13.50.
Disadvantages:
Bass booster can become crackly at extremely high volumes.
Overall this set of speakers are extremely good and useful for an extremely low price and offer high quality sound at low and mid range volumes and the bass booster is an extremely useful function as for certain usage ther may be a different level of bass required to fulfill its purpose....

Advantages: USB Connection, Fantastic looks and style, decent quality sound. Disadvantages: Slightly flimsy.
...be clear on this one - If you have a modern soundcard, it'll operate and work perfectly through USB ports, not just your bog standard sound port.
I came across the TrustSoundforce 2012 USB when browsing the guys display. They looked rather snazzy in their stylishly modeled box, infact it was their streamlined, rather snazzy apperance which pretty much clinched the purchase actually. The price was 14.99, which is fair for a pair of USB speakers, thus I bought them without hesistation.
So How Were They?
Upon swiftly plugging the 2012's in the USB port, they worked immediately after the PC detected them as a "USB Audio Device" (we were running XP). Thats all it really takes to install a 2 speaker system. The speakers worked in conjunction with the Soundblaster 24 bit card perfectly, and require no updating/software changes to function...
