...I needed a mouse that for use with my laptop, which wasn't too expensive, since I was on a budget and this mouse fitted the bill perfectly. It is light and easy to install and use. The two programmable side buttons are very useful since I surf the internet quite a lot and use them to go back and forwards on the browser. They are also very well placed so you can't just press them accidentally, which has happened on other more expensive mouses. Still being able to plug it in using a USB and a PS/2 connection is brilliant for me since i can use it on my stand alone computer and my laptop. Also it excceded my expectations on sensitivity and easy of use. Because I use my laptop on not only hard surfaces but soft ones like cushions and duvets I was shocked at how good the mouse was on these surfaces not just normal mouse mats. In general... ...I bought this mouse after I was so impressed with my other Trust wireless mouse. I bought this because it would fit into my laptop case. The mouse is small, but is not too small, although I would not like to use it for very long periods of time. It has 2AA batteries which are supplied with the mouse, and they are rechargeable. To recharge the mouse, you plug the USB lead into the Laptop, and the other end into the mouse, and the wheel goes red when it is charging. The battery life is good. On a full charge, it will last for about 3 days of reasonable use. But the only drawback of the mouse is that you can not turn it off. This means that when in you laptop bag, and when it is moving, the mouse thinks that you are moving it, so the battery gets low. There is no software needed when running Windows XP. ...a day of using this mouse, my laptop blue screened. I went to diagnose through Vista, and it pointed me to a website: http://www.unisupport.net/lang/en/tevionlasermouse1600.htm This page has drivers for the mouse wich address the blue sceening issue apparently present in the default Trust drivers, and adds a small icon in the taskbar which just links you to regular mouse settings, however adds a couple of extra tabs which allow you to change what the extra buttons do. The software has no conflicts with my Synaptics Touchpad software, and I highly reccomend it (if only for the fact it doesn't make your computer blue screen).
