Advantages: Accurate, cheap, good range, long battery life, comfortable Disadvantages: Picks up starch?

I didn't buy this mouse at all for the media functionality, however I have found it can be useful when watching videos on my bed away from my computer. I was leaving off writing a review until I got a good idea of the battery life. Well it's been almost two months now, and I'm still using the cheap batteries that come with it. In my opinion the battery life on a wireless mouse lasting over a month is pretty good - especially when I keep forgetting to turn it off (though I think it goes in to some kind of standby when it hasn't been used for a certain period of time.)
I moved from an 800dpi mouse to this. At first, it was hard to use but after a little while, I found it's 1600dpi to be much more accurate, and just generally better. If I switch it to 800dpi (which is a simple button on the top) I find it incredibly slow now, though it's useful if someone else is using your computer who isn't exactly farmiliar with 1600dpi mice. The mouse is great for normal desktop usage and games alike. Some people prefer 2000dpi mice for games, but I personally think it's a luxury that isn't necessary, and 1600dpi gets the job done just fine.
The mouse feels quite sturdy, and is very comfortable to use. I use my computer a lot and have not grown tired or frustrated with how it feels. All the buttons are in convenient places such as the browser back button and the zoom buttons. The middle mouse button is very stiff at first, but after a day or two it begins to loosen. The only problem I find with the feel of the mouse is that the smooth top easily picks up dirt from your hands, though for some reason I have only noticed this if for whatever reason I have eaten something like chips with my hands.
The back and forward browser buttons are always incredibly useful. I don't find I use the zoom buttons much, but they can be handy occasionally as I have a WUXGA (1920x1200) screen, and text can ocasionally be rather small. If you use software not provided by Trust (I will come back to that later), you can map the extra function buttons to pretty much anything you want, such as copy and paste. I didn't buy this mouse at all for the media functionality, however I have found it can be useful when watching videos on my bed away from my computer. Just switch it to media player mode, and you can change the volume and pause. Also, if you're listening to music but aren't really close to your computer, you can skip tracks or mute. I went in to my housemates room next to mine and changed tracks from there, so the range is also pretty good. Unfortunately, I haven't got this working with VLC media player yet, though I'm sure it's possible.
Finally (yes this review is rather long), after about a day of using this mouse, my laptop blue screened. I went to diagnose through Vista, and it pointed me to a website: http://www.unisupport.net/lang/en/tevion_laser_mouse1600.htm
This page has drivers for the mouse wich address the blue sceening issue apparently present in the default Trust drivers, and adds a small icon in the taskbar which just links you to regular mouse settings, however adds a couple of extra tabs which allow you to change what the extra buttons do. The software has no conflicts with my Synaptics Touchpad software, and I highly reccomend it (if only for the fact it doesn't make your computer blue screen).
Hope this review has been useful, before I bought this mouse I couldn't find a single useful review.
