"Tuborg Green - A Very Good Lager."

About The Tuborg Company -
Tuborg is a Danish Beer company founded in 1873, it has been making Tuborg Green, a pilsener lager since 1880. Tuborg is now apart of the Carlsberg company since they merged in 1970. Tuborg gets its weird name from an inn called Thuesborg ("Thues castle") which was in the area of the original brewery. Tuborg also does alot of sponsorship with music events, as one of its trademarks is 'the liquid soundtrack' and it sponsors Escape into the park event, Wireless Festival, Download Festival, Latitude, Glastonbury, and Reading and Leeds festivals. Tuborg green is very popular in eastern Europe, particularly in Russia where it is the best selling international beer, this is mostly thanks to the music events put on by the company called 'Tuborg greenfest'.

The packaging -
Tuborg Green has a 4.6% volume and is sold in either 275ml bottles or in 500ml cans. The most popular is the 275ml bottles which are green with green labels with the Tuborg logo and green crown above. It also has the innovative pull cap on all the bottles which means no need for a bottle opener or shredding your hands on a twist cap bottle! The cans are also green with the same logo as the bottles. Bottles are usually sold in packs of 8 for £5.50 and cans are usually about £2.99 on average for a pack of 4.

Tuborg green is now also being sold on tap in wetherspoons pubs up and down the country which is first major nationwide chain to do so in the uk, and at £2.30 a pint that's not bad especially when you look at beers for the same price or which are more expensive and its very likely that Tuborg would be a better buy!

The Taste -
Being a pilsener lager it has more taste to it than other plain lagers do such as fosters or carling. Smells very hoppy when opening it and that's the same with the taste, a very hoppy and malty compared to alot on the market and defiantly has the taste of European lagers such as Heineken. all in all its a very good lager, the smell can be abit over powering at first but it has a nice smooth taste with alot of flavour, which in my opinion is a nice change from just the same old fosters and carling which just taste of water!

links -
www.tuborgmusic.com, they have loads on this site, whether its random merchandise, information on the beer and it also has alot of information up there to do with the different festivals its sponsoring and other events that it has on such as give-away events, good times!

thanks for reading peeps! x

Well reviewed. I remember drinking this in Copenhagen on a business trip last year - I wonder if it travels well? 8^)
