Hi. We bought our hoover hnc180 from currys at the back end of last year for £220 . We own a indesit washer dryer however this has poor drying capabilities so needed an alternative drying machine for the winter months. The machine was ready to take away that day. ...to this is the water tray needs emptying after every few loads and the condensor needs washing out about once a week . along with cleaning the lint filter which is standard practice for almost every dryer. the water tray and condensor are easy to access although some machines have the water tray located where the soap drawer would be on a washing machine which would save having to bend down to the bottom of the machine. however this is a good piece ... The best deal I found was out of my Littlewoods (LX) catallogue; £249.99 - I haven't got to start paying for it until June this year AND I can pay for it monthly at no extra cost. It takes a maximum load of 6 kg and has two heat settings. It has a pre-ironing setting which provides a conditioning and anti crease function. ...free standing and not designed to be stood on top of a washer but because we are a bit tight for space I have put some none slip rubber pads onto the plastic feet of the dryer and lifted it on top of our washer, this has worked fine and we have never had any problems with the dryer moving or falling. this is not recommended though. Purchased this dryer a few weeks ago after my Neff dryer died after 15years, so I have high expectations and below are my findings. Positive is the size of the drum, its huge!, 7.5kg it takes which is ample for pillows, kingsize bedding etc, the sensor drying works very well, set and forget dries to every desirable level, ironing as well is kept to a minimum I guess to the size of the drum of so as a basic dryer its very good, nice features, asthetically ...
...No delay start, nor can you put it on a timer plug as its a electronic start so when the power from the plug kicks in the dryer wont start without physically pushing a button, and there is no delay start on the dryer which is a real pain as my old model I always had come on overnight on cheap rate electricity.
