.......You'll have to try these. I love Tunnock’s snowballs, I always have. So when Hubby bought some the other day, to have with our Sunday afternoon coffee, I thought I would write a little review about them, to share with you all! History of Tunnock’s ------------------------- Thomas Tunnock opened his first bakers shop in 1890. The business is still privately run today, and the factory is based in Uddingston, just outside Glasgow. It is a bit of a Scottish Institution now, and the products are exported all over the world. Expatriates can even ship in Tunnock’s products no matter where they ... more

Advantages Advantages Delicious, light and did I say delicious?

Disadvantages Disadvantages Messy to eat and not the healthiest of snacks

I’m one of those annoying people who is on a diet every other week. Lucky for me, this week is an off-diet week and therefore I have been stuffing my face! My current favourite naughty snacks are Snowballs. My Snowballs of choice are Tunnock’s. Tunnock’s were established in 1890 and are said to ‘still be a family business’. Their most famous product is the caramel wafer (although I prefer their tea cakes!), written on the back of the Snowballs box is ‘These Snowballs are prepared from the purest ingredients, to give you a most delightful product made by the makers of The Caramel Wafer’. The ... more

Intro Coffee time is one of my most favourite times; since it is then that I usually get my daily treat. I say daily, the treat actually comes with each coffee so I am trying to stick to ** per day to keep the sugar and caffeine intake down…………………………yeah as if. Snowballs Snowballs have to be one of the messiest and one of the best indulgencies ever. They have chocolate, coconut, mallow all wrapped in a neat little shell, well ball I suppose. Currently a box of 4 is retailing at around £1, but there are cheaper versions out there. Let me just say this though, sometimes the cheapo’s are equally ... more

Well i have a tunnock's coconut snowball in front of me the now. The wrapper is see through with red writing on it. Its ingredients is sugar, glucose syrup, coconut 15%, water, vegitable oil, skimmed milk powder, egg, crystals, whey powder, fat reduced cocoa powder, soy lecithin salt and vanillin. Smell ----- The smell of this product has a very strong coco nut smell because it is covered in coco nut flakes. Taste ----- It tasts like a bounty bar, which melts in your mouth because of the whipped cream inside. Shape ----- it is in the shape of a snowball, which inhences the name tunnocks ... more

    Advantages Advantages Tastes good.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages High in calories.

This is basically a marshmallow covered in milk chocolate and coconut shavings. It tastes like you'd imagine, except the marshmallow inside is extremely soft. It almost melts in your mouth. It is not like a marshmallow which you'd buy in a clear bag. It was very sweet of course and I did enjoy eating it....I'm required to write more on this topic, but I honestly have no more to say. It is what you see. A really soft marshmallow, in milk chocolate, and coconut shavings. There are no surprises here. You will be getting what you think you're buying, a sweet treat, that old people can digest. If ... more
