Advantages Soft and Cuddly, Washable, Durable

Disadvantages Have to go everywhere with us!!

This review is only about two of the tweenies dolls, Jake and Milo, I have a son, who gave me a look of deep disgust when I picked up Bella and Fizz in the shops way back when we bought them and informed me they were for girls (don't I know anything!!). It's amazing just how horrified you can make a 2 year old child, anyway ....

Who Are The tweenies?
--------------------------------

The tweenies are 4 children who attend a playgroup run by Max and Judy. Their names are Bella, Milo, Fizz & Jake, they spend their days doing 5 different activities which are decided by "The Tweenie Clock, Where Will It Stop", There is Song Time (Where they sing a well known childrens song), Storytime (Where either Max or Judy read a book to them), Telly Time (you guessed it, they watch some educational tv), Messy time (where they make something eg paint pictures) and news time (this always comes at the end where they discuss their day and talk about what they have learnt.)

What is the Jake Doll like?
------------------------------------

The Jake doll that my son has is 14" tall, he is completely soft bodied, with a sewn face. His skin is orange and he has yellow fluffy hair. He wears blue shorts and a blue t shirt with yellow spots on it. He is completely washable (which is needed with a youngster) and is very durable being able to withstand the rough a tumble of playtime.

What is the Milo Doll like?
-----------------------------------

the Milo doll is also 14" tall, and soft bodied, he has purple skin with black string hair, he wears blue shorts and a blue top. Again he is completely washable and fairs well with playtime.

My opinion
---------------

I personally like these dolls, they are very good replicas of the caracters on the TV show, they are extremely soft so offer alot of comfort to young children at bedtime and when they are upset. My son is nearly 5 now and Jake & Milo still sleep in his bed with him each night, and they have been on every holiday both in the Uk and abroad since they were purchased.
I have put both toys through the wash on a 30 degree and they have come out immaculate and without damage, I haven't tried them in a tumble drier, but they dry quite quickly if just left on a radiator during the day.
These two toys have been my sons best friends for a long time, and the love he has for them makes them the best toy I could recommend to any parent.
They are supposed to be for 3 years and above (arn't all toys!) but as I said, my son got his a age 2. I don't know what age to end them at, as my son still loves his dearly.
I don't think you can buy these toys new anymore, but ebay normally have alot of tweenies stuff, so you should be able to get them second hand, and most good sellers state that their homes are smoke and pet free, but as I said they wash well if you are worried.
