Were I to chose a place to be
A place that really suited me
I'd chose to walk the path you walk
To talk the words we always talk
To hold your hand, to feel your smile
to kiss you at the kissing stile.
Yes, why should anything improve,
When what we feel is human love.
Your eyes, transparent to my own,
Cloak nothing, you are not alone,
Your arms are strong, your lips so kind,
And if I stay you will not mind
That even though the days go by
We never have to question why.
Just be there in this place and time,
That merits such a simple rhyme,
Close as two people can achieve,
I know that I shall never leave,
And in each thing I chose to do,
Will always stay here ...

Advantages: quite long, the start of something new? Disadvantages: my first poem
First of all i would like to say that this is the first poem i have ever wrote, it is fiction, so please be kind, but constructive criticism is gladly welcomed, gemma x
She lay there with a hypnotic stare,
He burst into the room to say she didn't care,
Why did you leave me in all this debt he did cry?
I had to she said or they said you would die.
Mr Nasty, the villain of the street was the toughest guy around who no-one could beat,
She was so vulnerable and innocent when she was a teen,
She trusted Mr Nasty he was kind and not at all mean.
Five years have past and now she's twenty four and Mr Nasty was back knocking down the door for more.
He didn't care that she was married and was pregnant with twins, Mr Nasty said she had to pay for all her sins.
She got scared when she saw Mr Nasty ...

Hello, Fat Tony here, your friendly neighborhood gangster man. Yesterday, after a hard day of busting caps and boxing beats, I saw that a good friend of mine was feeling down. She's had a bad weekend. She's been incredible to me over the past few months, and wrote a very lovelypoem for me which can be found at my MySpace.
After chatting to her for a while, I decided it'd be nice if I wrote a poem to show how much I love her as a friend, and how much I appreciate her. So, I came up with this. It's entitled simply, "A Poem".
Please bear in mind it's my first ever poem.... I'm more of a "There was a young blank from blank" guy, so... be nice ;-)
