Advantages: Beautifully written and crafted novel, amazing characters, will stay with you a long time after reading Disadvantages: Un-putdownable!
I first heard of Twilight last summer, but thought nothing of it. Over the following couple of months, I kept hearing it mentioned on various forums and websites, and so my curiosity was piqued. But did I really want to read a stereotypical vampire love story? Well, the answer was yes. The genre is one that I have never really explored before, andso I was intrigued not only by the summary, but by the reviews I'd read of the book.

**The Twilight Phenomenon**
The book has received critical acclaim since its publication in 2005, including reaching #5 on the New York Times Bestseller List, and being named in the Top Ten Books for Young Adults.
Not only that, but an online fandom has sprung up, with millions of fans worldwide combining ideas and theories on forums, and writing Twilight based fanfiction. One such website, The Twilight Lexicon, is even in ...

Advantages: Great read, very enjoyable, part of a series Disadvantages: Cant put it down!
My boyfriend picked up this book after being suggested it by a friend, he in turn suggested I read it.....and so the obsession begins!
The Book
-------------
The book was written by Stephanie Meyer in 2003 and published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. It is available in both hardback and paperback. It is aimed primarily at a young adult audience (myself only being 22) it has aspects of Horror and Fantasy but overall, I would describe ... ...store or online.
The Story
-------------
The basics of the story are quite simple, a 17 year old girl, Isabella Swan, moves from her home in Phoenix, Arizona where she lived with her mother, to Forks, Washington to live with her father and upon starting school, meets and falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen.
Throughout the story, Bella and Edwards love evolves and grows as they work through all the trials that all young relationships must. ...

...the first book in the Twilight saga has taken the world by storm. The book by Stephanie Meyer was first published in 2005. It is a New York Times bestseller and has been picked my Amazon.com as a 'Best Book of the decade . . so far'. These are just two of the awards it has been given. On Amazon.co.uk Twilight is currently number 15 on the bestsellers in books and the latest in the series, Breaking Dawn is number 7. I think this is excellent especially ... ...on facebook had joined a Twilight group. So I read some more reviews of the book and found people speaking very highly about this vampire series. It appeared to be a mix between romance and vampires. Now I have never read a book on vampires in my life and so was a little wary. The books I normally read are strictly chick-lit but I was assured that this book is amazing and is addictive. That was enough to convince me!
So off I went to my local library's ...

...friends bustling upon how brilliant Twilight by Stephanie Meyer was, and how I have to read it, I finally gave in. I am not sure of the reason I felt I didn't wish to read this book, yet I believe it was the 'simple' story line as I took it, ie: Girl meets vampire, falls in love, the end. I am now the first one to tell anyone that this is NOT the story. It is not a simple story which has been used many different times, yet this is a story of suspense ... ...******Sequel Information******
Twilight is the first in a set of books. 'New Moon' is the first sequel and is already out in the shops and can be brought at any good retail shop. Whilst I write this review, I am eagerly awaiting the next installment 'Eclypse'

Divine Edward Review ofTwilight - Stephenie Meyerby
Happyjaw
Advantages: Bliss in printed paper Disadvantages: The book eventually ends
I had bought this without planning to, I was searching for something bubblegum, by that I mean easy to deal with, something ongoing but interesting but not too hard. There was an offer on on my local WH Smith and having found one book I fancied completing the deal with a half price book.
The picture drew me first, those pale hands gently clasping the perfectly red apple. It drew me far enough to pick the book up to read the back, which in turn made ... ...I'm not one to shun teen fiction just because I'm a fully grown adult, after all, the ingenuity of Harry Potter and the whole His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman are aimed at young adults. They also warranted films and spin off books, a huge inernational following and fan clubs all over the internet.
Stephenie Meyer gives the impression she wrote this story because it needed telling and frankly it comes across that way. It is honest in ...

When seventeen-year-old Isabella Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father she expects that her new life will be as dull as the town itself. In spite of her awkward manner and low expectations, she finds that her new classmates are drawn to this pale, dark-haired new girl in town. But not, it seems, the Cullen family. These five adopted brothers and sisters obviously prefer their own company and will make no exception for Bella. Bella is convinced that Edward Cullen in particular hates her, but she feels a strange attraction to him, although his hostility makes her feel almost physically ill. He seems determined to push her away - until, that is, he saves her life from an out of control car. Bella will soon discover that there is a very good reason for Edward's coldness. He, and his family, are vampires - and he knows how dangerous it is for others to get too close.
