As a first, I like to start with appologizing for possible grammar flaws, as English isn't my first language.
The Twilight audiobook comes in a close to normal disc case size case. As there are 11 discs, ofcourse the case is more deep, at about 2,5inches. The case is of a sturdy cartboard, and has a black shiny finish. The discs self, are plain black with white number indication
The story is read by Ilyana Kadushin, an American woman, with therefor an American accent, which is in my opinion good, as the story is played in the town of Forks, state of Washington in the western USA.
The story itself: Bella is a 17 year old girl, who decides to live with her father in Forks. Forks is a tiny, raine town in Washington USA. She meets Edward, who has toghether with his family, a huge secret the have to hide for the people. They are vampires, but not like any other, they like to call themselves "vegitarians" as the dont drink human blood. A romance between Bella and Edward develops, with all possible problems involved when a vampire gets involved with a human being.
As a big fan of the Twilight saga, I have read all the books several times, watched the movies a few times as well, and got very interested in the audiobooks. Ofcourse I was familiar with the story line, but nevertheless, I listned to the audiobook in one go.
At aproximately 13hrs over 11 discs, you wont have to switch discs very often, and you will be able to sit back and listen, or even drive a car, as the box is perfectly suited to fit in the glove departement of your car. Each disc is devided in 4minute tracks, so you can easily go back a few minutes if you found yourself distracted.
The voice of Ilyana at first was very annoying to me. I found her voice somewhat childish and scratchy. However, after listend to the first half of disc 1 (about 30 minutes), I got totally used to her voice, and my opinion switched completely.
Ilyana is capable of giving each character its own characteristic little twitches, which makes it very easy to automaticly understand who of the characters is "talking". Ilyana also if very capable of putting the right amount of emotion and enthousiastic in her voice at the right times, which makes it feel like you are living the story, rather than just listning to a disc.
For around and about €20,- you can buy a new version at the store.
