NAME OF DRINK:
Twinings Infusions Echinacea & Raspbery flavoured teabags – the tag line states it is a “gentle yet reviving blend with a fruity twist”. These are naturally caffeine free and come either in a box of 20 loose teabags or as part of one of their selection boxes wrapped individually. BACKGROUND:
I was trying to reduce my caffeine intake when a friend introduced me to herb teas. She recommended the Echinacea as it is supposed to enhance ... ...small card with the word Twinings at the other. Be careful with these as the staple can sometimes not be in right and the tag comes off completely or you can break the string. I wondered once if the staple came out whether the teabag would spill its contents into my drink – but I hasten to add this has yet to happen. Brewing instructions are allow one teabag per person and add freshly boiled water to the bag. Leave to infuse for 3-5 minutes according ...

Advantages: Taste and smell are amazing Disadvantages: Supermarket bought bags are not tagged if bought as a single flavour
...decided to try this offering: Twinings echinacea and raspberry tea. Making fruit tea could not be easier: boil some water and add it to a mug, pop the tea-bag in and leave it to brew for 5 or so minutes. One of the mistakes I used to make with fruit teas was not leaving the bag in for long enough. I like my regular tea weak and so my natural reaction used to be to get the bag out as soon as possible. That really doesn’t work for fruit teas and you ... ...dry almost tannin-y taste and Twinings are often no better, their cranberry, raspberry and elderflower infusion being a particular offender!
Having discovered that this was a fruit tea that I could enjoy I discovered that I was able to obtain it at work from our canteen. On the second time I tried it I sweetened it slightly with a little honey. This served to bring out the fruity flavours even more and I would heartily recommend just a little honey. ...

Get fruity with me! Review ofTwinings Echinacea & Raspberry Teaby
SusanLesley
Advantages: Tastes great, reasonable price, easy to make. Disadvantages: None providing you like raspberries!
...name of the product is Twinings Echinacea and Raspberry Flavour Teabags. The tea comes in oblong teabags to which a string is stapled with a tag on the other end. This makes them easy to remove from the cup after the boiling water has been added. They are available in boxes of 20 and are priced at round about £1. The tea is made from hibiscus, Echinacea, apple pieces, orange peel, blackberry leaves, licorice root, lemon peel, raspberry flavouring ... ...free. With a line up like that it was always going to be pretty fruity wasn’t it? It is described as a ‘gentle yet reviving blend with a fruity twist’ and I have no reason to dispute this!.
PACKAGING
The teabags come in a deep pink box with a picture of a raspberry and what I assume is an Echinacea flower on the front. The box is wrapped in cellophane so that it is sealed and tamper free. The side of the box features some information about the ...

Twinings have been in the tea trade since 1706 so that immediately gave me high expectations of their brand. No need for milk Review ofTwinings Echinacea & Raspberry Teaby
Jackietob
Advantages: Lovely hot Disadvantages: Awful cold
A free sample of Twinings Echinacea and Raspberry Tea arrived on my doormat one morning and I have finally decided to try it.
I have drunk herbal teas before, but I’m not keen on all the flavours and was reluctant to try this one because I have never heard of Echinacea. I decided to look it up in the dictionary and found the following definition:
‘An herbal remedy prepared from the pulverized leaves and stems of purple coneflowers, thought to bolster ... ...of cold / flu like symptoms, so a boost for my immune system sounds good. But what are coneflowers? Apparently they are flowers which originated in North America.
Now, raspberries, I know that they are a little red fruit which are lovely and sweet, but can be prone to annoying little seeds which get stuck in my teeth.
TO THE PRODUCT
The sachet I received is a yellowy / orange colour with a pink picture of a raspberry and what I’m assuming is a ...
