Advantages Advantages soothed my sore throat

Disadvantages Disadvantages I couldn't taste any lemon, too aniseedy for my liking

INTRODUCTION I thought I was coming down with a cold a few weeks ago and I had a horrible sore throat, this is normally the time I reach for a Lemon and Ginger Infusion with a good dollop of honey in it. I came across the Twinings Lemon and Ginger infusion in Waitrose when it was on offer for 79p for a box of 20 teabags, so I bought some. I first tried this brand of Lemon and Ginger infusion around 13 years ago and I liked it at the time, so would it be just as nice now? A LITTLE BIT ABOUT TWININGS Twinings is one of the most famous and trusted brands when it comes to hot drinks. It was ... more

Advantages Advantages No caffeine or sugar

Disadvantages Disadvantages Still not as nice as coffee

Well here goes another review for herbal teas. I am still looking for the one that will replace coffee in my life. This time I chose Twinings Wellbeing Blends, Lemon and Ginger Tea. I know that I have told you about the history of Twinings before but here goes again. Twinnings had been going since 1706 and were one of the first companies to start selling tea in England. Although the cornerstone of Twinnings business is Earl Grey they have branched out, supplying green teas, fruit & herbal teas, flavoured black teas and selected origin teas. Getting back to my Lemon and Ginger tea. The box ... more

Advantages Advantages Tasty warming hot drink

Disadvantages Disadvantages You need to like ginger!

Would you like a drink with a bit of flavour that warms you through as you as you drink it and aids digestion at the same time? I do enjoy a change now and again from traditional tea and coffee and because there are a wide range of herbal infusions available in supermarkets I find it fun to try out different flavours. Twinings have been making teas for over 300 years and not only do they sell traditional and speciality teas they have a very wide range of herbal and fruit infusions within their range. Twinings Lemon and Ginger is one of their "Wellbeing Blends Infusions" ('Infusion' being a ... more

Advantages Advantages Lots of health benefits

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Teabag gets waterlogged

Whenever I get ill with a cold or sore throat my mum always gets me to drink honey and lemon. When I moved away from home to go to university I seemed to be in a constant cycle of getting a sore throat and cold every six weeks. In an effort to recreate what my mum had given me but without having to keep buying lemons I decided to give this tea a whirl! The tea is made by Twinnings; a company I associate with great quality tea. Packs of twenty teabags are often around the £0.80-£1.00 mark, although I recently stocked up with about ten boxes when they were on offer in asda for £0.50! The tea is ... more

    Advantages Advantages Strong flavour, refreshing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nothing

I have been on a bit of a health kick recently and have been experimenting with drink more green and fruit teas. One that I purchased to try is the Twinings Revitalising Lemon & Ginger as I love both flavours and thought it sounded very appealing. The tea comes in a box containing 20 teabags. I purchased mine from Wilkinson’s (amazing what you find in this shop) for £1.18 which works out at just under 6p per drink. The box which the lemon and ginger tea comes in is very pretty with it being yellow in colour and having a lovely floral and bird picture on the front. It states on the front of the ... more
