It all started with my mum saying "Maybe 20 cups of tea is not so good for your helath". She wasn't say this to me - I stick to my 2.5 litres of Evian every day, but to my stepdad. He as a proud englishman drinks as many cups of tea as you give him.
In search of the alternative which has less caffeine in it, I came across Twinings Lemon and Ginger. Since then the whole family is hooked up.

TASTE
Bitter when cold, spicy when hot. I would say it taste less like lemon and more like ginger.

Pricing and packaging

£1.59 In Sainsburys for 40 teabags, or 60g net weight
which works out as 4p per cup of tea.

Whats inside the tea bag

Ginger Root (38.7%),Lemon Grass (18.1%),Lemon Peel (9.8%),Linden,Blackberry Leaves,Lemon Flavouring,Ginger Flavouring,Citric Acid.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS.

As always 1 tea bag - 1 person
I just leave the tea bag in the cup for 3 minutes. Sometimes I forget it there for 10 minutes. It doesn't really affect the taste so much. You can drink this tea hot or cold. However in my personal experience it doesn't taste as nice when cold. You can taste the bitterness if you drink it cold.
Nothing is more useful for a starting cold. This tea makes your throat warm and relaxed, and helps you breathe when your nose is blocked (really hepled me through winter)
DON'T add milk to it. Herbal teas don't go with milk.
Tastes really nice with honey.

BAD SIDES
it is not your everyday tea. The taste is slightly bitter and unusual, and at first you might even hate it. IT can leave a nasty aftertaste if you are not eating anything sweet with it.

REALLY GOOD sides
No caffeine
No added sugar
Typically a serving contains 16 kj/4 kcal
Low Carbohydrate
GM and Gluten Free

There are plenty of other herbal infusions made by twinings. If you don't like lemon and ginger try other ones. They do lots of free samples as well. http://www.twinings.co.uk is the website to visit to find out more
