at Barnet, the Renaissance power struggle at Flodden Field and the demise of the Jacobite Rebellion at Culloden. Being a battle site most of the finds constitute weaponry and lost pieces of equipment and coin, and because of this the excavations rely heavily on metal detectors. Whereas programs such as Time Team involve the excavation of permanent structures, established sites and settlements, TMIAT deals with a much more fleeting concept. Two & A Half Men Season 1 - In my opinion..

Advantages: Perfect casting, easy-to-follow plot/story lines, various jokes & inuendos for the whole family
Disadvantages: None that immediately spring to mind

, featuring an overbearing mother figure that only ever bring Charlie & Alan misery, the ballsy house keeper, Berta, who's rare apprences always manage to add a cheeky and more often that not, truthfully abusive set of jokes. Then we come to Judith, Alan's ex-wife & Jake's mother. Whilst having an on-again-off-again rapour with Alan, there is always a sense of distance between her and Uncle Charlie, providing for very funny and often witty snide remarks. Finally we come to Rose, one of the many women Charlie has had a one-night-stand with, only this time he hasn't managed to get rid of her quite as easily as the others. Living just two doors down from Charlie's beach house in Malibu, Rose's obsession with Charlie becomes a regular occurance throughout the season, providing many laughs and jokes for us the audience to enjoy. I found this first ...

Review of Two And A Half Men - Series 1 (Box Set) (DVD)

Two and a Half Very Funny Men

Advantages: Often good physical comedy as well as snappy dialogue with lots of laughs
Disadvantages: Charlie Sheen can grate after a while, predictable at times

WHAT IS IT: Two and a Half Men is an American sitcom which has been awarded Emmys and Golden Globes. It is frequently shown on the Paramount comedy channels. It is based in the home of Charlie Harper, a playboy bachelor who has made his fortune writing jingles for adverts. His wild lifestyle is interrupted when his brother Alan, a chiropractor who ironically is pretty spineless, gets divorced and he and his son Jake have no choice but to move in with Charlie. Alan and Charlie live in fear of their man-eating, gin-soaked mother Evelyn and do their best to avoid her. They are also frequently visited by Charlie's well-meaning stalker Rose, who has never really got over the one night of passion she shared with Charlie. Trying to keep Charlie in line is world-weary housekeeper Berta who is constantly amused by the ridiculous situations ...
