Advantages same old good tea taste!

Disadvantages none

After drinking a lot of tea and coffee thought-out my day, I have noticed I am becoming quite dependent of the good old caffeine. I started getting headaches in the morning that would not shift until I had a mug or two of tea. So I thought enough’s enough. This can’t go on.

I have tried and like decaffeinated coffee, so I thought I’d give the tea a try.

I was walking around my local asda when I spotted the tea, after looking long and hard at all the different decaffeinated tea's one box just kept jumping out at me, it was ty.phoo, in a pretty pink box.

Loving pink I thought this has to be the one for me. The ty.phoo box’s are normally red, but ty.phoo decaffeinated tea are now supporting breakthrough breast cancer so they have turned there box’s pink! And 10p from each sale goes towards the charity. well as most of the decaffeinated tea's cost around £1.70 per box, I thought I’d get this one as 10p of my money would go to a really good cause, and of course, the box is pink!

Each 250g box contains 100 round tea bags, sealed in 50's in a foil pack inside the box for extra freshness.

I was abit worried that the tea would not taste the same. But I needent of bothered with the worry as the tea taste just as good as a normal cup of caffeine tea. I made my tea as normal, one sugar (trying to cut down on the sugar to!) a little milk and a whole load of boiling water, in my favorite big flower mug, after pouring in the boiling water I let the tea sit for a minute or two then stirred and squeezed the tea bag and then giving it another little stir. The tea taste lovely, I like my tea strong and had no trouble making a good old cuppa with this decaffeinated stuff

I used to drink this when I was on a detox. Had to have it with soya milk though, so not pleasent memories, but now when I try it again with regular milk, it's very nice!

I have not actually had this, as I am very spoiled when it comes to tea and generally get it at Whittard's. Great review. Desiree x

Just wanted to add something here. I was making tea at work today. And, in so doing I actually made a mistake, by force of habit. I was told a long time ago, that if you add cool or lukewarm water to tea, then it WILL eventually brew, but the caffeine will not be released. So, when I came to England and started drinking a lot of tea, I started putting the bag in, then the milk, then pouring the hot water over that, so that the brew was slower, but hopefully less caffeinated. As I am not one to look for special products etc. I never considered just buying decaf teas. I simply do the 'milk first' thing. Well, I made this mistake at work today, and the girls I was making tea for (other than myself) nearly shot me! I said; 'Oops sorry, force of habit.' I then went on to explain why I do it. My boss, (who was one of the people I was making it for), then looked at me and said 'Deary, you needn't worry about that here, look at the teabag holder.' I glanced over and said yeah, typhoo. She said, NO DECAF Typhoo. I then read the side, and sure enough, it was a foil pack (as every tea I have used at home has been), but it had lettering on it that sure as heck said DECAFFEINATED! Bloody heck. I have been drinking decaf tea for about 7 weeks now, and had no clue! So there ya go. It must taste nice, cuz I bloody well didnt even know I was drinking it! Just thought I would add that testament to this review! : - ) TA
