Loved it a long time ago
Advantages: Nicely decorated and nice drinks on offer Disadvantages: Didn't go out of their way for me in the slightest
I had been to Taylor Taylor several times for both highlights and cuts and was always happy and grateful I'd found the perfect cutter. Then I had a disaster having had my hair dyed back to its natural colour (as I do in the winter) and was left sitting there with the dye on for about 15 mins longer than I was told it needed and it being almost black. I was nearly in tears and then taken to the sinks and had toner put on my scalp which burnt it (and ... ...over it to try and calm it. I was ushered out the shop with products to calm the colour and told to use washing up liquid to strip the hair. I then had a nightmare having any dealings with the manager, always so friendly on the phone but failed to call me back when he said he would. It took me to chase a few too many times and each time I had to remind him of the whole event as though he'd never heard it before I ended up with a free colour... and ...

Cutting Edge Hair Studio
Advantages: - Disadvantages: Not a good place for hair..
...to say, the manager of Cutting Edge should really think before posting his comment on what was an honest review by someone who attended his salon. Even if it was 2 years ago. But things obviously haven't changed much at this salon, because I've just had a similar experience, and therefore concur.
Earlier this month I "enjoyed" sitting through at the same Cutting Edge Hair Studio after looking at their site http://www.cehairstudio.co.uk/ which on ... ...a very bad haircut, badly styled - in a dirty salon (rickety stairs, 80's hair equipment - the place needs an uplift, guys.). My hair was presumably cut by the big boss there (at least I was told). To denigrate someone for giving her opinion on the treatment she had received to the point where you are making personal comments about her dress sense is appalling. Have you thought she wouldn't have taken the time and effort to write such a review unless ...

Best West-End Salon By Far!
Advantages: Free Wi-Fi, late night opening, 24hr online booking, Food available to order Disadvantages: Not open on Sundays
The Lounge Soho is a real treat. It's a very different salon to the run of the mill ones I have been to before. The atmosphere is very laid back and the music is a little louder than I have heard in a salon before, but it really works. My stylist Deanne was very sweet and did the best highlights I have ever had (just perfect buttery blonde) with a very classic cut. I was worried that I would end up with a overly creative, trendy cut but it was nice ... ...well as freshly made latte! The service and care they took over me during my visit was a breath of fresh air compared to the previous high street alternatives I have experienced in the past. I have already recommended the salon to friends and I hope this review is helpful. ...

Renata Jon - Brilliant Hairdresser in Chelsea and Hampstead!
Advantages: Always cutting edge Disadvantages: none
...been to many hairdressers, but Renata Jon has been my regular for a few years now. She is a fab stylist with who takes the time to get to know you and understand your needs. Renata Jon always manages to produce brilliant colours and styles and what's more she is always updating them and advising as to what will look best. She is brilliant with hair of all lengths (I've had all!) and also does Yuko hair straightening (she was one of the first stylists ...

Toni & Guy aren't all that
Advantages: Can be a bargain with a trainee Disadvantages: Attitude!
I'd never been to a Toni & Guy before as personally I think spending upwards of £50 just for a trim is a bit of a rip off, and I've always been happy with the cuts and colouring I've had at more reasonably priced salons. However last time I walked past the Oxford branch they were advertising for models for cutting and colouring, so as it's only 5 minutes from where I work I thought I'd give it a go. I spoke to the trainee who would be cutting my ... ...escape from Toni & Guy in the end. I found the staff as stuck-up as some of the other reviewers on here, and although my hair looks OK, I definitely wouldn't have paid 60 quid or whatever. Next time I'll stick to my tried and trusted (and friendly) local hairdresser! ...
