Advantages: Beautiful aerodynamic lines, powerful turbo engine, reliable, fast and quiet Disadvantages: A little heavy on fuel, an ideal 2 + 2 but cramped in the rear
My first experience of driving a Nissan was in Florida in 1992 when I hired a 240SX and was so impressed with its performance that I forgot the lower speed limits and found myself doing 73mph in a 55mph area!
Having paid my fine and enjoyed my holiday, I was determined to buy a similar model on my return to the UK.
Unable to afford a new car, I found a 1989 model which had done around 30,000 miles and in excellent condition. Being something of an enthusiast, I had previously owned a second hand Porsche 924, but the Nissan exceeded all my expectations and in my opinion was superior in nearly every way. I paid £10,000 for the Nissan and it has been excellent value for money. It is fast and cruises smoothly and effortlessly on motorways, but in town it tends to be heavy on petrol consumption. My wife and I use it for long distance driving ...

Advantages: Cheap, Powerful, Luxury Disadvantages: Thirsty when driven hard
Finally got my dream 200SX a couple of months ago and the smile has yet to leave my face!
It is an auto and has the "Touring" pack and so came with full leather, Aircon, 12 stack CD, Air bags, Electric Windows, Power steering, Cat 1 NATS alarm etc. Colour is a deep purple and on standard 16" alloys, it really looks the part.
Performance is awsome for the price, built on the solid Nissan SR20DET 2.0litre/16valve engine with Turbocharger its good for 198+ bhp, 0 to 60 under 7 secs and on to 140 + mph. (This comes at an Insurance cost! Group 17!, but still not much more than my old MR2 GT).
Reasonable mileage (24 - 28 mpg) on Shell Optimax around town and 33+ at steady motorway speeds in "overdrive".
I can honestly say this is the best car I have ever owned (and I've had a few!). It looks smart but not too "Racer", has just ...

Advantages: Power, rear wheel drive, high equipment levels as standard Disadvantages: Lethal in the wet, not much room inside. Tyres not cheap.
I have only owned my 200SX for 1 month now, but it is one of the best cars I have driven. Besides the out and out power of the 2 litre turbocharged engine, the handling complements it being very precise. Unfortunately the car is a compromise, it is really only a 2 seater, and the boot is not what you would call massive.
Do beware the rain however. The fun that comes from the full boost at 4000 rpm in the dry turns into a threat in the wet. The tail becomes very skitish when pulling out of junctions, 3rd gear is advised if ou have a heavy right foot!
I would recommend this car to anyone who can afford the insurance, and who wants a coupe that is a little different from the average Celica or Cougar. ...
