    Advantages Advantages Simple, efficient, highly compatible, and user friendly operating system.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Missing deafault exFAT support, Gnome 3 interface isn't present by default.

    Ubuntu 12.04 is the newest long-term support release of the Ubuntu Linux operating system. It was released on 26 April 2012, and I've been testing it for the past three days. I have found that the new unity interface isn't something that I'd like to keep as my default interface; however I've decided to test it for a while and see how it goes. The interface can always be changed at the logon screen, using the combo box which has the option to load the Ubuntu classic interface.     Installation Ubuntu is an Operating System, similar to Microsoft Windows. Installation is as simple as downloading software from the website and burning it to a CD/DVD. Then, start up the computer you want to install it to with the disc in the drive and follow the instructions. Problems Unfortunately, Ubuntu is riddled with problems. I have two hard disks and needed to reformat one of them into the Ubuntu file system. That was easy enough. But then I couldn't write any files to the disk.
