The Cheese is a blend of Mozzarella, Soft Cheese, Mature Cheddar and Emmental, which gives it a really nice stringy, yet not plastic taste. It is very tasty and you get a good sized portion within the Panini.
The red onion chutney is quite sweet, but compliments the cheese well, both tastes work very well together.
My conclusion after trying all three of the deli Style Panini’s on offer from Ugo is that the Chicken one is my favourite, but the others are still very good.
These Panini’s would not be out of place in a Café Nero or Starbucks as a lunch time meal. They are very tasty and I will definitely be having them again.
Advantages: Tasty and Quick Disadvantages: Need crisps to get a filling meal.
...people had been reviewing the Ugo's Deli Cafe range over the last few weeks, so thought I'd jump on the band wagon. I have been a fan of these microwavable meals for a while now and thought I should add my two cent into the dicussions on them. So to begin with the Cheese and Chutney Panini. What makes it so great? I have also often had one as a mid afternoon or morning snack - which I find they work well for. The Panini is very easy to cook (this one being the easiest to cook without the sachet hiding inside). 2 mins in the Microwave ...

...prepared easily at home - UGO's deli cafe paninis. I was in Sainsbury's the other day and noticed them in the sandwich cabinet. The packaging is lovely - not that 'fast foodie' - it is pretty and looks kind of organic. You don't have to toast them or anything, so no cleaning out the sandwich toaster. All you do is put the panini in the microwave for two minutes! I tried the Four Cheese & Sweet Red Onion Chutney panini yesterday and it was delicious. ... ...special packaging makes them cook as though they have been toasted. The cheese ouzes out when it comes out of the microwave. Really delicious - the sweet red onion chutney was great, really nice consistency and sweet but not too sweet. I am generally rushing about during the day and as a vegetarian I find it quite difficult to get a quick hot snack that is tasty - i.e. not a burger! But I can leave a panini in the fridge at work and stick it in the ...
