...I purchased these earphones as an upgrade to the ones that came with my Creative Zen. The difference in sound quality was immediately obvious, the music was clearer and more well defined, even for mp3 standard. It also helps that, being in-ear, these earphones block out a tremendous amount of outside noise (I have had to adjust the phone volume to maximum at work much to the chagrin of my colleagues!). This has the side effect of allowing you to turn the volume down on the mp3 player and thus improve the battery life. My only gripe with these earphones is that they can be a bit fiddly to put in, but I think it is largely a case of finding which of the supplied ear pieces fit your ears best....

Coupled to some proper HiFi speakers (floorstanders at the front, a proper centre and bookshelf rears) very loud volume levels can be achieved effortlessly. Witness the early battle charges in "Gladiator" at near full volume and you will grin from ear to ear. It is LOUDER than the cinema!
The controls allow balancing of the sound at each individual point and these settings are stored independently for all of the various modes (Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby pro-logic, Hall, Theatre(s) and Stereo). A white-noise test tone makes adjustments easy.
The sound-staging is simply awesome. Films with lots of action come to life nicely. You will dodge arrows, track helicopters and hear ghostly noises just when you are supposed to!

The hi-fi comes with two big speakers and three surround sound ones giving a chrystal clear 360w of sound. The hi-fi has diiferent sound settings including super surround, which provides supurb quality of sound all round, and pro logic which allows the user to customize the sound patterns.
The cd player is also a dvd player and so the hi-fi produces a great cinema sound experience.
The hi-fi has two tape decks which are opened by pressing electronic buttons so again i am wery of trusting electronics.
The CD player accepts many formats, wma/mp3 on cd-r and rw discs and you can show pictures on it using the same TV used for the DVD player.
The unit has RDS which allows you to make it interupt music your listening to and find a station which...
