brilliant clean and helps stop gum disease

head very difficult if not impossible to change

This is the product description: A sonic toothbrush with ultrasound. There are three brushing options to cope with extra needed performance and for more sensitive teeth. LED lights to indicate what mode is in use. There is a 3 minute timer which has an auto shut off and also a pacer function to...

“It doesn't clean carpets!”

published 25/11/2005

It works and keeps working!

Difficult head replacement.

I was going to live in the USA (a long story but a short emigration as it turned out). Knowing the reputation we Brit's have in the states for having bad teeth I wanted to make sure mine were at least the best they could be without dental surgery. I'd already been told by my dentist that my gums...

Gets teeth as clean as those trips to the dentist.

Each toothbrush needs its individual charger.

Having lost my front teeth to dentures I resolved to take extra special care of my remaining teeth. Though price determined which sonic toothbrush I purchased in the end (£20 off £59.99 at Boots, plus all those loyalty points). The booklet is quite informative, but only begins to make sense once...

“Sonic Clean”

published 08/03/2003

Great cleaning, 2 year guarantee, rechargeable

Not multi-user friendly

The Ultrasonex Phaser toothbrush gives your teeth a great clean. It cleans with ultra sonic vibrations. Before Christmas 2002 several stores, Boots and Argos, had a half price offer on the Utrasonex making it just under £40. The brush came with a recharger five brush heads and a 2 year guarantee...

“The answer to my prayers”

It really works

Price, especially when buying for a household

I had terrible gum disease and advancing recession when I invested in this toothbrush. Most dentists' answer to this condition is more frequent hygienist visits; but as anyone with a serious problem knows, with the use of conventional or electric toothbrushes, even two-monthly descales give...

Easy to use

A bit large

I love this toothbrush. I bought it because I had problems every time I bought a new conventional toothbrush. I used to get ulcers and sore gums due to the harsh new bristles. With the Ultrasonex the brush does most of the work for you. It applies the correct amount of pressure (so no more...

“I want another one!!”

published 28/02/2006

Ease of use; Tingly clean teeth

Battery life

I bought my Ultrasonex back in late 2003,, and although the instruction manual read a little like your Mum telling you how to use it (classic comment - 'be careful when changing the brush heads as it could flick of violently and hit someone in the eye), it was definately more entertaining to read...

Great value, great battery life, cheap replacement...

Breaks prematurely

There is almost no need to write a full review of this product for one reason - It will break in less than 2 years1 I know this, because my fourth one has just broken. Thankfully due to extended warranty's I have only paid for one! The problem lies in what must be a weak area, just under where...

“ultrasonex, is it worth it?”

Well after doing my research on electric toothbrushes and reading reviews I decided to go for the ultrasonex, i heard it was expensive but I also heard it was the best, I could have choosen a cheaper one or an Oral Braun like the one I had but after a lot of consideration I decided to go for that...

This is the BEST electric toothbrush available on the domestic market. It really does deep clean. Even if you normally use an electric brush, you will be amazed at the difference. Once you've used a Phaser, you'll never want to go back to a manual or conventional electric toothbrush. Cleans below the gum line - and you'll feel the difference. I've been using mine for almost 3 years now. My one critique is that the brush head itself is too large. I wish Salton would offer a smaller rounder head that would reach round the back of my molars.

“Proceed with caution”

Easy , cheap and effective

Where is the information we need?

I have been trying to think how best to recommend this toothbrush. The problem is: most people, like the previous reviewer, will regard this a simply another electric toothbrush, but I think that with sonic vibrations and ultrasound we have here something that is actually approaching a clinical...

Deep cleaning

Much bigger brush head

I got this toothbrush about 6 months ago, and it took a bit of getting used to after my Oral B electric brush. The brush head seemed HUGE, not only did my hand vibrate, but trying to brush my upper teeth was agony.............not of pain. First off, it tickled, like crazy, which made my nose itch...

Bought this toothbrush well over a year ago and it's still going strong. It takes a while to get use to the unique cleaning sensation you get in your mouth. I love it although my girl friend tried it once and found it strange and now won't use it again. ooh err Mrs ...! The heads are a little on...

faulty switches, 2nd in 2 years

I bought the full set costing £160 plus. The first brush lasted 10 months and then it wouldn't switch on. I returned it to Argos and obtained a replacement under guarantee. The second one has developed the same fault just after the guarantee ran out ! This must be more than an unfortunate co...

This is the most effective toothbrush I've ever come across. Yet it is only available online and only with a good hunt. Thinking I should buy another one now, in case its not available in future. One important point about this brush is that because it uses ULTRA-sonic energy to clean, that energy...
