Advantages: compact, easy to use Disadvantages: eats batteries, not enough pixels
I bought my Umax 320S to tide me over while I learned a bit about digital photography and waited for the prices of better cameras to come down. I enjoy using it, and have stopped using my film camera altogether - even though the resolution is much lower. At vga resolution, it only has 0.3 megapixels which is plenty for viewing on screen, but not really enough for printing. It takes about 50 pictures, or more if you go for lower resolution - but then ... ...to use - no controls other than a normal/macro switch - and it's surprisingly good indoors (no flash) with its f2.0 lens. The only snag is that it draws on the batteries when not in use, so they only last about a fortnight. It's dead easy to use - no controls other than a normal/macro switch - and it's surprisingly good indoors (no flash) with its f2.0 lens. The only snag is that it draws on the batteries when not in use, so they only last about a fortnight. I download after every session and take the batteries out - what a pity they didn't incorporate an on/off switch!
Advantages: small, lightweight, can hold over 50 pics Disadvantages: minimal features
How can you describe this little pocket monster???
I bought this camera when my main one got stolen. I purchased this because of its low price and small size, and also its ease of use. The camera has been fantastic and has never given me any problems. It does struggle a little indoors if the light isnt sufficient but apart from that it is a wonderful camera. I use it as my main webcam and just pop out the usb lead when I go out. I take it everywhere ...
