***THE SLEEK AND CHIC SHAMPOO***
Appearance -----------------
The bottle that this shampoo comes in looks quite posh. It has a large silver lid and the writing on the bottle gives the shampoo an 'upmarket' appearance. The bottle is clear, and you can see the dark blue shampoo inside. The shampoo has quite a thick consistency which again gives the impression of good quality.
I really like the packaging; I think it is quite eye-catching and it gives the customer the impression that they are buying a good quality shampoo.
The Smell --------------
The smell is difficult to describe as I don't think it really resembles anything. It is not a fruity smell, it is probably closer to a herbal smell. It is however quite pleasant.
The Lather ---------------
What I most like about this shampoo is that the smallest amount can produce a lovely thick lather. You really feel as though you are getting a good deep clean. The lather feels really smooth and the shampoo can last a long time if you only use a small amount.
The Results -----------------
Do not expect miracles......Your hair will not miraculously transform from a thick frizzy mess to being sleek shiney and smooth. However, I do find that my hair is a little smoother after using this shampoo. Additionally it does seem to give your hair more shine. This product is ideal to use before straightening your hair with irons. It will help to relax your hair and will therefore provide you with better results when you style your hair with straighteners.
***CONCLUSION***
This product does to a certain extent do what it says on the bottle. It will take you half-way to a 'sleek and chic' look. It achieves this by giving your hair more shine and by smoothing the hair. However in order to achieve a totally 'sleek and chic' appearance, you will need more than just this shampoo. You will need to combine the shampoo with the Sleek and Chic Conditioner and straightening irons.
Although this shampoo is not a miracle worker I still purchase it because I love the thick lather it provides. Additionally it just feels like a good quality shampoo and it does reduce frizz. I think that the price is reasonable because it lasts a long time due to the fact that you only need to apply a small amount. I do seem to get better results with my straighteners when I shampoo and condition my hair with 'Sleek and Chic' products.

Review of Umberto Giannini Sleek and Chic Straightening Shampoo
Advantages: the wonder wax Disadvantages: the straw shampoo
...and that's when I spotted Umberto Giannini's range. It was looking kind of slick and flash with it's shiny silver lid and it seemed that was exactly what I needed to cheer up my godforsaken month. Even better, it was on buy two get one free! Studying the range carefully I saw that there are two variations in the range. First came 'Curl friends' which was pink and really appealed to me. Unfortunately as I don't have curly hair I decided that may 'Sleek ... ...option. Cradling my prizes, I headed for the checkout and within an hour the Sleek and Chic's were waiting patiently on the windowsill for the following morning. It soon came and Sleek and Chic Straightening shampoo (£3.49) was first to the test. The shampoo is a clear blue/lilac and comes in a 250ml bottle. The front claims to smooth and add shine to all hair types. I was a little wary at this point as I usually purchase a shampoo specifically for ...

...mine who has used this. Umberto Giannini, spelling mistake with ciao site, have great products featured in all of the magazines. My friend has really curlu hair and it is hard to control so she finds it hard to get a shampoo that does the right job. She has tried every shampoo possible and also all of the sleek ranges but non ework. The Pantene range is the worst it makes no difference and made her hair worse.
The Umberto Giannini Sleek and Chic ... ...know you might get the Umberto Giannini for 3 for 2 or something. It works up a good lather this shampoo and definitely cleans the hair well from what I have heard. It repairs hair that has been looking lifeless and dull and the conditioner used with the sampoo makes a difference and they are best used together to get the hair even better because this would help the curls be loose. It doesn't straighten hair but nearly straightens it and all that ...

Advantages: really does work!! Disadvantages: expensive
...and it is not cheap.
Umberto Giannini retails at roughly £4.50 a bottle, and when you buy shampoo and conditioner that is around £9 for both.
But in their defense, you really dont need to use much shampoo ans it SPREADS well, notice i didnt use lather, it does not lather particularly well, although i have been told from my hairdresser that this is in fact a good thing rather than a bad thing, as more white bubbly lather means more soap bubbles ...

Advantages: smells and looks gorgeous Disadvantages: expensive
I first bought this product as part of a buy one get one free deal in Boots. The first thing that caught my eye was the proclaimation that it would tame curls and frizz. Then I smelt it and have been buying it ever since. I used to just buy shampoos which were on offer, changing every time i bought one. I have been using this shampoo for about four months now, and have no inclination to change. The thing that I especially like is the smell. I am ... ...package looks stylish. Also you dont need a lot of this product, and despite the expense it lasts a while. I have also recently tried the shine one, and it did make my hair shiny. The only thing I can say is that so far I am extremely pleased with the product and it seems that they do indeed do just what they say. They also have a hairstyling tip on the bottle for aspiring hairdressers, to help you make the most of your hair. In conclusion I would ...

Advantages: Looks nice, smells nice... matches my bathroom. Disadvantages: Expensive. Doesn't work on curly hair.
I decided to change my shampoo, and saw this one on offer in the shop. It was still quite expensive compared to the cheapo stuff I usually use, but it looked posh (was blue and silver so matched my bathroom) and when it said 'sleek and chic' I thought, brilliant. Just what I need. My hair isn't exactly straight, in fact it's quite curly. Once washed and blowdried (with straightening products) it's still frizzy and curly. Once straightened (with yet ... ...than usual (with the cheapo shampoo). I found that despite using a few conditioning/heat protect products this shampoo was quite drying on my hair which I think is why it was still a bit frizzy after straightening. I think this shampoo would work very well if you have kinky hair rather than curly, but then I never expected it to be a miracle cure. LOL.
To sum up, it looks nice, smells nice and for those with kinky rather than curly hair, I'm sure ...

Advantages: REALLY WORKS Disadvantages: Can leave hair greasey if you use to much
I have always had trouble trying to find a cream/spray to help keep my long straight and sleek..............however I finally found one that does what it says it should.
UmbertoGianniniSleek and Chic blowdry cream is the best one I have tried yet, it does exactly what it says it should. It is a super strength straightening balm that add?s shine to your hair. It is suitable for all types as well.
It is best used when combined with the sleek and chicshampoo and conditioner.
It is available to buy from boots and can be bought in packs with all three items or as individuals.
The blowdry cream is think in context and if you do have greasy hair I would suggest that you don?t use an awful lot of this product as it can make it slightly greasy than normal.
So if you want a frizz free life? The Sleek & Chic regime is ...
Advantages: Soft and Well Conditioned Hair, nice bottle, Nice Texture, Can get a range of other items e.g. shampoo. Disadvantages: Quite Expensive.
***INTRO***
The UmbertoGiannini 'Sleek and Chic' conditioner comes in a clear bottle with a silver lid. This gives the impression you are buying something quite posh and of good quality. Among the items in the UmbertoGiannini 'Sleek and Chic' range is a shampoo and a straightening cream.
The price of the conditioner is around £4.49 for a 250ml bottle...And this can be purchased at Boots.
The conditioner is of a whiteish colour and is quite a thick texture.
***WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO***
Basically this conditioner claims to leave you with 'sleek and chic' hair...Which seems to translate as meaning smooth and shiney hair with no frizz. On the Boots website it says the following:
'The Sleek & Chic regime is a revolutionary concept developed to give your hair that cool catwalk chic.'
I will now go on to give my opinion ...
