In a constant effort to find something to calm my horrendous frizzy mop, before applying the straighteners my bathroom is full of hair care products and this is one of them!

~ My Hair ~

In short, I'm unlucky enough to have awful coarse, firzzy hair. I have always wanted to be one of the 'chosen' who have hair that could be left to dry naturally and look like they have just been to the hairdressers, but I'm not!!

It's fine, once done and had straighteners applied but if left to it's own devices it's not a pretty sight!!

This is a hefty £5.95 in Boots for a 50ml bottle but sometimes they have 3 for 2 or BOGOF offers available which is when I bought mine.

This comes in a box which is almost twice the width of the actual bottle.

The bottle is clear plastic with a plunge down dispenser at the top which is good for dispensing just the right amount of serum.

Directions for use

* Shampoo, condition and towel dry hair.
* 1-2 pump actions on to the palm of your hand, rub hands together and smooth evely through hair.
* Style as normal.
* For maximum shine and condition apply one further application to styled hair.

My experience

As stated earlier, I have extremely unruly, frizzy hair and was hoping for that catwalk chic!!

The serum is clear and has no smell whatsoever. It can feel quite sticky on your hands afterwards.

The first time I used this I went right to the roots as it doesn't say not to on the bottle. This left my hair almost greasy looking, the root section was flatter than normal but the drier ends were still as frizzy as ever.

Having learned from my error, the time after this I only applied it from halfway down my hair to the ends. I can honestly say that it made very little difference to my hair. It was ever so slightly calmer but I didn't get the great shine or gloss that it promises to give the only straight bits of my hair came once I had applied the faithful old straighteners.

I have to say that the best results I have got from this product is when I have applied it after blow drying and finely dabbing my hair with the palms of my hand that have the serum on as opposed to applying it to my towel dried hair.

I've used some of the other products in the sleek and chic range, bought whilst Boots had an offer on and I can honestly say that the 'revolutionary concept' that this range is advertised as just doesn't work for me....................... I'd be interested to know if it works for any of you via comments, it may well just be the totally horrendous nature of my hair!!

This is now in my bathroom cupboard only to be brought out when I feel inspired enough to give it another chance or when I've run out of other haircare products.
