I went out and after looking around at a few different heaters I eventually decided on the Nikkai Electric heater. There were three reasons for my choice:
1. Id had the rectangular shaped heaters and found that although ... ...while for you to get the full benefit of the heater, I hoped that this fan heater would be quicker at heating up the room.
2. There were two different heat settings: 350W and 700W. These would allow me to adjust the amount of heat I wanted from it depending on the weather, how long wed had the central heating on etc
3. The price! It was only £9.99. Although this was not the cheapest heater I could find it seemed to be ... more

I went out and after looking around at a few different heaters I eventually decided on the Nikkai Electric heater. There were three reasons for my choice:
1. Id had the rectangular shaped heaters and found that although they did effectively heat up the room it took a while for you to get the full benefit of the heater, I hoped that this fan heater would be quicker at heating up the room.
2. There were two different heat settings: 350W and 700W. These would allow me to adjust the amount of heat I wanted from it depending on the weather, how long wed had the central heating on etc

~*~ The look ~*~
Well... it looks like a fan! The main body is white plastic but around the heating elements is metal (which would probably be a good thing as the plastic would melt!) The main part of the fan heater is leant slightly forward to avoid the heater falling over backwards and this is adjustable both forwards and backwards so that you can change the angle the heat goes into the room.
There is also a round switch on the base, a bit like the switch youd find on a gas fire, for you to select between the heat settings
~*~ What size is it? ~*~
The fan heater is very compact and can fit into the smallest of places (Although while its in use id recommend having it in the middle of the room, Ive melted my mini fridge by having this too close!)
The actual dimensions are: 42cm x 30cm x 30 cm
~*~ How well does it work? ~*~
I've used a lot of heaters and have found this to be the best by far! Even on the lowest setting you can feel the heat immediately even across the other side of the room! I have used the highest setting a couple of times but more often than not I only ever need to use the lowest setting. Both the occasions I did use the highest setting I only needed the heater on for around five minutes, by the time it had been on that long the room was actually too hot! The cord for it is also very long, so you can have the heater plugged into one corner of the room and put the heater in the opposite corner!
One other point worth noting is that the fan heater has an automatic shut off if it's knocked over so it will automatically turn itself off. Useful if your as clumsy as I am!
