Sony's quest for exclusive PlayStation 3 games that are actually worth the blu-ray disc they're lasered on continues with "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune". Developed by "Naughty Dog", best known for the "Crash Bandicoot" and "Jak and Daxter" series, a quick glance at "Uncharted" gleams of high production values. Ever since I show the trailer, I couldn't help but dream of a game featuring the platforming of "Prince of Persia" and the combat of "Resident ... ..."Duck" adventure. However, I've limited my PS3 expectations to "extremely low" for its first couple of years, so I went into the game fully expecting said dreams to be thoroughly crushed and burned. Did scepticism prove me wrong this time?
The Story
If there is one way to get me into a theatre faster than a speeding bullet, it's having a film prominently featuring a) well-known historical figure(s) and b) legendary treasure(s). ...

Advantages: Everything Disadvantages: Relitively short
...game! Sound
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune may be the first in existence to use an actual full band to play its music. You get animal sounds etc when running through the jungle but as soon as it starts to get a bit more tense the band kicks in and up the ante! I never really realised how big a part music plays in games until you play this game and find out how it's meant to be! Conclusion
As you may have guessed already, I love this game! ... ...would! And I will, don't worry about that!
I know at the beginning of this that I said you may not like this game, but writing this review has really made me see just how great it truly is. I don't care how old you are, not that I'm giving you excuses to ignore the age restriction, or what type of games you usually play, you need to buy this game. You will not regret it, trust me! To be honest I wasn't sure if I would like this game. I have never ...

Advantages: Very adventurous and interesting Disadvantages: May be too easy for experienced gamers
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
An action packed adventure game that I loved playing to the very end.
The characters:
Nathan "Nate" Drake is an experienced treasure hunter who may be a descendant of the legendary Sir Francis Drake. In this adventure he has set to find out what exactly is inside Sir Francis Drake's coffin as according to legend he was buried at sea and did not father any children, something that Nate disputes. I have to say that I loved ... ...show host who is following Nate's adventure and is hoping to make her mark on finding the coffin of Sir Francis Drake that was buried over 400 years ago. Nate has let her come along in order to finance his adventure but she becomes a possible lover interest too.
Victor Sullivan "Sully" is a long time friend of Nate who has a lot of experience in such endeavours and so is supposedly quite a valuable friend to have in this mission.
Aim of the game ...

Advantages: Great story. Beautiful environments. Brilliant voice-acting. Disadvantages: Bit short. May seem hard and tricky to younger players.
I was slightly aprehensive when I got this game. I had played the demo from the PSN store, and had not been that impressed. However I was wrong to do so; Uncharted is one of the PS3's best exclusives and is well worth the buy, even months afer it's release. As far as adventure games go the only competition out there is Lost, which, to be honest, isn't in Uncharted's league at all.
Story and Characters
If there is one thing that would showcase ... ...been so attached to a game and it's characters. i would turn on the playstation and be excited to find out what was about to happen. The game is more like a film, its that appealing. The characters are so real and honest that its hard not to like them. Nathan is braveand funny, a proper "good guy", whilst his newfound friend Elena is wity and even good with a gun. I even found the "bad guys" likeable, the whole game has so much originality and character.

A Masterpiece Review ofUncharted: Drakes Fortune (PS3)by
jonwebb5
Advantages: Stunning graphics, Lots of humour, Compelling story, Wonderful to play, Replay Value, Lots of Fun! Disadvantages: No multiplayer, sometimes shooting could get a little repetitive for some
I bought Uncharted just after it was released last Christmas. The other day I loaded it up for yet another play through, and it blew me away all over again. At such a low price, this is seriously not a game to miss out on.
The premise is fairly simple. You play Nathan Drake, a descendant of Sir Francis Drake, who is searching for the lost treasure of El Dorado. The story itself is magnificent. I have never seen a game weave a plot so well. The characters ... ...twists and turns. The story really is central to the game, and makes you keep playing.
Graphically, Uncharted is amazing. It has to be seen to be beleived. Everything from the textures on the rock to the way Drake's shirt stays realisitically wet for a few minutes after he goes in the water looks absolutely stunning. In all the time I've spent playing the game, I'm yet to see an area that isn't incredibly detailed and ridiculously beautiful.
