Uncle Ben's Express Mushroom Rice

This review is on Uncle Bens Expess Mushroome rice, which is one of 22 different flavours of express rice produced by Mars Foods under the 'Uncle Bens' trading name.

Uncle Bens expess rice comes in a bright orange coloured pakaging, and is an ideal quick, easy, and tasty rice addition to many differnet types of meal.
The Expess rice is also great as a meal in itself , as there are lots of different flavours to choose from, based around meats, vegetables and spices.

These brightly coloured sachets of rice, are so simple to prepare, and the results are amazing considering the minimal effort required (see below).

Microwave:

Squeeze the pouch to seperate the rice.
Tear open a small area (approx 2cm) in the corner of the packaging.
Heat in the microwave for just 2 minutes ( based on 700 Watt)

Pan:

Boil 30ml of water in the pan.
Add contents of the pouch to the water.
Cover and simmer for 3 minutes.

for the Mushroom express rice (per 250g pouch) are as follows:

400 calories
8.6 grams of protein
78.8 grams of carbohydrate
5.8 grams of fat
2.2 grams of fibre

Uncle Bens express rice is brilliant for a quick and easy meal on its own, or as an addition to boost virtually any other type of meal imaginable.
They take just a few minutes to cook, and are often available from most shops and supermarkets, usually on a deal where you can buy 4 pouches for around 3 pound.

Loads of different flavours are available in this range, which is enough to keep everyone happy from meat lovers right through to vegetarians.

These meals also contain no atificial colours, flavours or preservatves!
