First point, this is a review for the Ultra Fast SPRINT charger which I think is slightly different but Ciao do not have page for that one.

The Ultra Fast Sprint charger by Uniross is the best. To start with it takes no longer than 2 hours to recharge batteries and alot of the time it does it in less. The other main advantage of this charger is that it stops charging automatically when they are fully charged so no more waiting around to turn it off and no more worries about damaging the batteries if you left the charger on by accident.

It costs £34.99 in Argos but I bought mine off eBay for £20 inc P&P. The reason this one is so expensive though is that it is supplied with 4 2300MaH AA batteries which in simple terms means that these batteries last longer than other rechargeable batteries with a lower MaH. 2300 is the highest you can get and a pack of these alone cost £15 (Argos).

It charges either Ni-Cd or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and either AA or AAA. You can only charge up 2 or 4 at a time. There are 2 LED's. One is green which means the charger is switched on. The other is red to mean it is charging the batteries.

Besides mains you can also charge in the car with the supplied adapter. It is also compatible in different countries as it can take power from 110-240 volts.

Most uniross chargers are units that plug straight into the socket but this is a seperate box with an adapter which I find alot better as the old ones were too big for many of my sockets because the sockets were so near the ground.

The charger looks quite good and is a dark blue. I have found no problems with this and it saves me money as I mainly use the batteries for my digital camera which drains batteries so quickly but not these.

Overall a great charger, super fast rechargeing times. If you use it quite alot then it saves you money from buying lots of normal batteries and I cannot think of a bad thing to say against it except for the price could be a little cheaper.

I have an Argos own branch recharger which is absolute crap and takes what seems like days to recharge and my digital camera and CD walkman burn through batteries faster than they recharge. This has persuaded me that the change has to be done, in spite of the price.
