Everyone owns something which requires batteries. They always run out at awqward times and cost you a ton of money. Then people look at rechargeables and if they dont look at the right ones, they loose out on battery time or could even cause damage to the product.
This uniros set is definately good value for mony. Looking around you can pay this much for a charger by itself and half as much for a good set of rechargeable batteries.
Ont he charger itself there's an easy to see green/red LED telling you when the charge is complete. This can be easily seen and prevents confusion.
The chrage times it provides will depend upon the batteries use, however the ones included can be charged in about 3 hours.
The batteries themselves are high quality with a good battery time. They are intended for use on electrical items and usually power my digital camera for about 6 hours with the screen on before dying. They also run my wireless optical mouse for about 2 weeks. If you have a lot of electrical items that use them, I recommend getting another set of 4 so you can have some charging or ready and others in use. One problem, however as with all rechargeable batteries is that as they are charged more, there battery life slowly shortens and need to be replaced.
The best idea I hav found is to use the batteries during the day and charge them at night whilst sleeping, however Ir estrain from charging unless the battery is empty to increase the lifespan of the battery.
The following batteries can be charged on this charger, though not at the same time unfortunately. AA batteries = 4 AAA batteries = 4 9V cell = 2
Overall this is a very good value set & highyl recommended to ahyone who uses an mp3 player or digital camera which requires batteries. If you're a heavy user I also recommend getting another set of the batteries to make sure you have some ready and waiting.

Hi, Lee! You haven't mentioned the price you paid, so I don't know if I am paying over the odds or not ~ I use rechargeables sometimes, but I find they don't always give as high a voltage as their Alkaline equivalents ~ My Garmin StreetPilot i3 (see review) gives me a choice under "Settings" to say which sort of battery I am using so it can better assess how low the battery is getting ~ if set to "Alkaline" it only thinks NiMH batteries have 3bars instead of 4 ~ I tend to purchase batteries on special offer ~ recently Argo had a 20 pack of Philips AA Alkaline (or a 24 pack of AAA) on offer @ £4.99, in a dispenser-pack which dispensed a "wrapped 4" at a time ~ ! ♥♥ ! ~ ........................................................... ~ jes ~ ! ♥♥ !
